International An Internationally Recognised Expert Team
Experience The breadth of our international work has been primarily through our long-standing
partnership with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, but we have also undertaken
work for a wide variety of private clients and across many sectors. Through our work
with the FCO we have contacts across the world who have an excellent knowledge of
local conditions. This gives us a unique ability to adapt quickly and effectively to work
undertaken in any country worldwide.

Our overseas projects have included fire investigation, fire risk assessment and training,
and fire engineering of new build and refurbished premises. This has been generally
based on British and local standards, but we also have experience working with IBC,
NFPA, FM and UL standards.

This industry leading experience has enabled us to develop a pragmatic approach to fire
safety, recognising the many and varied challenges of construction in different countries
and climates. By having a highly qualified and internationally recognised team of fire
experts, we can provide fire engineered justification for any deviations from prescriptive
codes with full awareness of local issues.

We can therefore ensure that although the design may be based on guidance documents
from, or heavily influenced by, western countries it is adapted to suit local conditions with
no lessening in fire safety protection.

We also have experts in assessing the installation of passive fire protection products
who have sufficient experience of research and testing, that upgrading existing systems
can be undertaken rather than complete replacement. This is particularly relevant where
projects are being undertaken in iconic city centre locations and can often be the
difference between a project being given the go ahead and being too expensive.
