Topic 3: CITIES OF THE FUTURE

2: Hey ! I have an interested question for u !

1:Oh lemme see how interesting that question is.

2: Okay. Have you ever thought about our city in the future?
1: Hmm.. I think our future cities are likely to be more technologically advanced and densely
populated than they are today. They may also be more sustainable with many sensor, with
green spaces and renewable energy sources. That’s what I think abt.

2: So that how you think about our city in the future.

1: Yeah. And how about you, what do you think the ideal city of the future will look like?

2: U ask me that kind of question too huh?

1: Ofc, Bc I'd like to hear your opinion too

2: Well ..i think the ideal city in the future may see flying vehicles, mega bridges. Those
futuristic cities will be powered by big data and artificial intelligence, they may live, breathe,
and even think with us.
1: I have to admit that you have a good imagination

2: Okay and the next question. Do you think there will be no pollution in the city?

1: I think in the future there'll be no pollution in the city. City dweller will encourage
cooperation in caring for the environment to improve their quality of life. And we will use
renewable energy instead of fossil fuels to reduce environmental pollution.

2: Can you tell me exactly what renewable energy is and what source of energy does it include?

1: Well…Renewable energy is energy derived from natural sources, it plentiful and all around us.
And the important one, renewable energy is cheaper and creates lower emissions than burning fossil
fuels. And we have few common sources of renewable energy like solar energy, wind energy,
hydropower, bioenergy and much more.

2: So that means renewable will help people a lot in the future with the great benefits it brings
1: Yes, u’re right. But I have a question. Will people be offered free education and health care in
the future ?
2: Maybe, but I think they will be provided with free education and health because a smart city
has absolutely enough resources for that and by providing free public health care and
education, the government will make these services accessible to the poor. And I think that is
completely beneficial for the city as it helps the city develop even more.

1: Oh that's it. Thank you for the interesting talk today.

2: Me too ! I really enjoyed the time we spent talking today
