Health Guarantee and lifetime commitment

We strive to raise healthy dogs that are socialized with other dogs and puppies. In
addition, we have provided your puppy with vaccinations, de-wormer and detailed
records that are included when you adopt your puppy and take it home. It is very
important that you continue the vaccinations and worming. Your puppy will be examined
by a veterinarian prior to adoption and is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of
adoption. The Posh & Pampered Pomsky cannot guarantee exact size, eye color,
weight, coat length, or other characteristics. We have been truthful about your puppy in
every regard, including their breed, size, color, registry, health, and puppy
temperament. Upon request, we have provided parent photos and their current size.
We cannot guarantee the size or weight of the puppy when full grown as there is just no
way to know. There is always a possibility of a "throwback" puppy, meaning an
individual puppy that reflects more of one breed than the other, so they may be
unexpectedly larger or smaller than common in Pomskies. We have had all our animals
screened to insure they are healthy and have our breeding Pomskies DNA tested to
help insure their health. We have done the best we can in providing you with a healthy
happy puppy, however there may be genetics which were unknown and beyond our
control that may affect your puppy. We guarantee our puppies for their first 6 months of
life. Within this 6 months, if a licensed veterinarian finds that your puppy has a life
threatening Congenital illness that cannot be controlled by medication or corrective
procedure, a replacement puppy will be given. This will be a puppy of the same breed
and value from the next available litter. If this were to happen, the Buyer will return the
original puppy to us. No replacements will be given if the female has been bred. We will
not be responsible for any veterinarian costs. The Posh & Pampered Pomsky will not
guarantee a puppy that has become ill due to Kennel Cough, Patellar Luxation,
umbilical hernias, colds, allergies, or internal/external parasites. However, we will
disclose any known illnesses or health issues prior to adoption. This guarantee does not
cover any health issues caused by neglect or injury from the Buyer. This guarantee
does not cover accidental death or accidental abnormalities. We are not responsible for
any veterinary expenses. The Buyer will take their puppy to a licensed veterinarian
within 72 hours of adopting their puppy. Not doing so will result in an invalid
health guarantee. The process to invoke health guarantee will be as follows: You the
buyer will provide The Posh & Pampered Pomsky with proof of illness from a licensed
veterinarian. Once this is received you will take the puppy to a local vet of our choosing
for second confirmation of illness. Should it be verified that the puppy indeed has a life
threatening congenital defect, you will be provided with another puppy. Should the pup
be determined not ill, you will retain your dog or return your dog if you choose to do so
to The Posh & Pampered Pomsky with no refund. We are not responsible for
veterinarian expenses.
Initial_______________________ Date: ______________________

The health guarantee pertains to genetic issues related to the parentage, or breeding of
your puppy. We do not cover medical issues related to the normal aging process,
accidents in your care, or health issues related to poor diet, or related to poor care.
Feeding dogs poor quality foods can lead to health issues down the line and a shorter
lifespan for your dog. The purchaser has 72 hours to take their puppy to their vet to
confirm the puppy is healthy. Prior to going home with you, your puppy will be up to date
on his/her puppy vaccines as is standard. The puppy has been dewormed a minimum of
three times. We express that vaccines do not provide full protection against disease and
your puppy is not considered immune until three weeks after their third vaccine. Please
do not take your puppy to public places! Wash your hands prior to handling your puppy.
Parvo, Distemper, Coccidiosis, Giardia are highly contagious diseases that can make
your puppy very sick, or even die. These diseases are not covered by the health
guarantee. Keeping your baby home is the only way to keep them safe! Puppies are
trained to potty on an artificial grass pad, are kept in a protective environment and away
from any area that could potentially be harmful for them or get them sick while in The
Posh & Pampered Pomsky’s care. Speak to your vet about when it is a safe time to be
out in public.
Initial: _______________________ Date: ____________________

If your puppy contracts a contagious disease because you did not adhere to the advice
your health guarantee is void. Again, we do not cover sick or unhealthy animals that
have received poor care from their new homes. You must provide adequate food,
shelter, temperature, grooming, and continued vet care to ensure a good long healthy
life for your puppy.
Dear Purchaser our contract is set up to protect you, The Posh & Pampered Pomsky,
and the beautiful new baby you will soon have.
This holds us to the highest standards of dog breeding.

*Understanding puppy vaccines and immunity: Please keep in mind puppies are
susceptible to many diseases especially after the stress of being away from mom and
siblings (this stress often can cause a few days of loose stools). Helping your puppy’s
digestive system helps improve their immune system. Things that can help reduce
stress and therefore improve immunity are to keep your puppy in a calm and quite area.
Cover their crate with a sheet at night so they cannot see you. Give them a teddy bear
to cuddle; this simulates siblings. Change food slowly. Puppy will come with the food
that he/she has been eating in our care. We feed our puppies Diamond Puppy food. To
transition use 1/3 a cup of your new food with 2/3 a cup of home food x3 days, then 2/3
cup of your food with 1/3 cup of home food x3 days and then transition to new food
completely. While having diarrhea the first couple days may be normal, it also increases
the chance of picking up parasites and bacteria to include, coccidiosis, giardia, or
intestinal worms to name a few. These infections will also leave your puppy more
susceptible to majorly bad bugs such as Parvo and Distemper and overall make them
not feel well if nothing else. Keep a close eye on your puppy as small puppy breeds can
dehydrate quickly and sugar can drop suddenly. Makes sure they are eating and
drinking regularly. When you get your new puppy they will be up to date on
vaccinations.
To complete and be considered to have a good amount of immunity they must complete
the series and to do this they need 3 sets. We have given vaccines at 7-8 and 11 weeks
old and puppies have been dewormed several times starting at 2 weeks. They are not
considered to have immunity until three weeks after the third vaccine. What does this all
mean for you? First, it means you should try to keep puppy away from areas where
other dogs visit. Do not take them out! Your puppy has also been started potty training
on an artificial grass pad. Using one of these, newspaper or a puppy pad is a good idea
until 3 weeks after your puppy has received all its vaccinations. It is not a good idea to
take your puppy outside to potty until 3 weeks after it has had all its vaccinations.
Please repeat deworming and boosters as well. Again, no exposure until three weeks
past the third set of vaccinations.
Next is to promote good gut bacteria and keep intestinal worms at bay. We deworm
puppies at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 11 weeks. They then need to be dewormed once every 2
months until a year old. Intestinal worms really can make puppies very sick. You also
can get probiotics from your vet, over the counter (human probiotics), or feed 1tbsp of
Activia in the am and one at night. Continue this treatment for several months, and start
up again for two weeks any time you see loose stools.
Initial: ___________________ Date: _____________________

Should your puppy ever have loose stools for more than a couple days or become
lethargic (sleepy acting, more than normal), please take them to the vet ASAP as there
can be many causes of diarrhea and your puppy may become dehydrated. Always take
your puppy to the vet if you see blood in the stool, or if they throw up more than one
time.
*Remember your puppy does not have much of an immunity until three weeks after the
third vaccine. Wash your hands before holding them. Do NOT set them down on the
floor at the vet’s office. Do not leave shoes down where they can chew on them and
pick up invisible bacteria you may have walked through. Do not let others touch your
puppy without washing their hands thoroughly. Do not let a friend bring their puppy over
for a play date until after both your puppy and the visiting puppy have had three sets of
vaccines and are three weeks past their last vaccine.
Initial: _________________________ Date: ________________

Heartworm should be given preventively from your local vet starting at 4 months of age.
Puppy will also require a Rabies vaccine that cannot be given prior to 4 months of age.
We recommend all spay and neutering to occur between the age of 4 months and 6
months prior to the animal becoming sexually active and once it has reached a safe size
for the procedure.
