THANKSGIVING

Call to worship
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come into God’s presence
with singing. Know that the Lord is God. It is God that made us, and we are God’s; we are God’s people,
and the sheep of God’s pasture. Enter God’s gates with thanksgiving, and God’s courts with praise. Give
thanks to God, bless God’s name. For the Lord is good; God’s steadfast love endures forever, and God’s
faithfulness to all generations.

RESPONSIVE READING:
L: Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

PEOPLE: Let the redeemed of the LORD say this — those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,
those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.

L: Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. They were hungry
and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away.

P: Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led
them by a straight way to a city where they could settle.

ALL: Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for
he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
