Responsive Call to Worship (Psalm 65):
Leader: We come to praise you, God our Savior, for you are the hope of all the ends
of the earth and of the farthest seas.
People: You formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength.
Leader: You stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.
People: The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns,
where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.
Leader: You care for the land and water it; The streams of God are filled with water
to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.
People: You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.
Leader: Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts!
People: We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple.
Opening Hymn: I Sing the Mighty Power of God
I sing the mighty power of God, That made the mountains rise;
That spread the flowing seas abroad And built the lofty skies.
I sing the wisdom that ordained The sun to rule the day;
The moon shines full at God's command, And all the stars obey.

I sing the goodness of the Lord, That filled the earth with food;
God formed the creatures with a word And then pronounced them good.
Lord, how Thy wonders are displayed, Where’er I turn my eyes:
If I survey the ground I tread, Or gaze upon the skies!

There’s not a plant or flower below, But makes Thy glories known;
And clouds arise, and tempests blow, By order from Thy throne;
While all that borrows life from Thee Is ever in Thy care,
And everywhere that we can be, Thou, God, art present there.

Unison and Silent Prayers of Confession Call to Confession: Psalm 91:14-16

Gracious God, our sins are too heavy to carry, too real to hide, and too deep to undo. Forgive what our lips
tremble to name, what our hearts can no longer bear, and what has become for us a consuming fire of
judgment. Set us free from a past that we cannot change; open to us a future in which we can be changed;
and grant us grace to grow more and more in your likeness and image, through Jesus Christ, the light of
the world. Affirmation of Grace: 1 John 1:7

Response: Christ of the Upward Way | vs. 1

Christ of the Upward Way, My guide divine,
Where You have set Your feet, may I place mine;
And move and march wherever You have trod,
Keeping face forward up the hill of God. Amen.

Hymn: Just As I Am, Without One Plea
Just as I am, without one plea, But that Your blood was shed for me,
And that You bid me come to Thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, though tossed about With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, You will receive, Will welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Your promise I believe, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Your love unknown Has broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Yours, yes, Yours alone, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Closing Hymn: Rise Up, O Church of God
Rise up, O Church of God! Have done with lesser things;
Give heart and mind and soul and strength to serve the King of Kings.

Rise up, O Church of God! His Kingdom tarries long;

Bring in the day of brotherhood and end the night of wrong.

Rise up, Children of God! The church for you doth wait,
Her strength unequal to her task, Rise up, and make her great!

Lift high the cross of Christ! Tread where his feet have trod.
As foll'wers of the risen Lord, Rise up, O Church of God!
