mPart 1:

- Tell me about your country’s climate?

Viet Nam is the country that have tropical monsoon climate. Therefore it is changeable and
unpredictable. Each region has its own special qualities. While more southern parts have a tropical
monsoon climate with only two seasons—rainy and dry—the northern region enjoys a monsoonal and
mild temperate environment with four distinct seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

- What is your favourite kind of weather?

My favourite kind of weather is sunny. It is because at this time I can have a chance to go to the beach to
go swimming, sunbathe, and play water sports with not only my friends but also my family, which closes
us together and strengthen our bond.

- Does the weather influence your mood?

Yes, of course. Initially, I don’t know the reason why but after researching information in the Internet, I
found that it has been shown that bad weather has a negative effect on people's moods instead of
positive ones. People are greatly impacted by changes in the weather. People's moods are negatively
impacted by larger or lower temperatures; they prefer a restricted temperature range. And I find it
really true for my situation.

- Is the worse to feel too hot or too cold?

To be honest, I’d rather be too hot. It is because if it is too hot, I could go swimming in the beach or pool
to cool off. However, if it too cold, I have to add more clothes, which make me uncomfortable and
unconvenient whenever doing something.

Part 2: Describe your favourite season

Today, I am going to tell you about my favourite season. Honestly, I love all the seasons but I think my
favourite is spring. Usually, it starts at the end of December in our country and lasts till the middle of
March.

The weather in Vietnam is the best during spring because you will not suffer from the excessive heat of
summer or the freezing wind of winter. People may enjoy outdoor activities thanks to the temperate
climate without worrying about the elements.

One of the best things about spring is that, during this poetic season, nature displays itself in beautiful
green and flowers are noticed everywhere. Trees that were once bare during the winter start to bloom
with colorful flowers. The streets are lined with cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, and other native
flowers, creating a picturesque landscape.

In conclusion, spring is my favorite season in Vietnam because of its pleasant weather, stunning scenery,
cultural significance, and delicious food. It’s a time when the whole country comes alive, and there’s a
sense of hope and renewal in the air. I look forward to spring every year, and I feel lucky to live in a
place where this season is so enchanting and beautiful.

That’s all I would like to share with you about my favourite season. Thank you for your listening.
Part 3:

A. The environment
- Are people in your country concerned about protecting the environment?

Well, it’s hard to say for sure. I think some people are concerned but probably not enough of them.
There are people who take environmental problems seriously enough to actually recycle their rubbish
appropriately but I don't think there are enough people who concer themselves with resource depletion
which I consider to be a pressing issue.

- Does the responsibility for protecting the environment lie with governments or with individuals?

It’s the responsibility of every individual to do their bit to protect the environment. Of course,
governments can do a lot to address environmental issues through their policies and the laws they pass.
I certainly think that governments should put more pressure on industry to use clean energy and to cut
down on the emission of greenhouse gases that pollute the atmosphere and add to global warming.

- Does it help to educate young people on being green?

Teaching children that they can make a difference will help to raise a generation of adults who are more
aware and environmentally conscious than the generation before them. It's important to teach your
children about the environment at an early age because these teachings will become their normal.

B. Pollution
- What effects does pollution have on the environment?

Air pollution affects all things. It is harmful to our health, and it impacts the environment by reducing
visibility and blocking sunlight, causing acid rain, and harming forests, wildlife, and agriculture.
Greenhouse gas pollution, the cause of climate change, affects the entire planet.

- Do you think we pollute more now than we did 50 years ago?

Yes, there is definitely more environmental damage now than in the past. With the industrialization of
society and the increase in global trade, there has been a lot more pollution and waste produced. This
has had a negative impact on the environment, causing problems like climate change, deforestation, and
water shortages.

- What do you think will happen if we do not reduce current levels of pollution?

If pollution levels continue to rise without significant reduction, the impact on the climate is expected to
be severe. Increased pollution, particularly greenhouse gas emissions, contributes to global warming,
leading to rising temperatures, more frequent and severe weather events, sea level rise, and disruptions
to ecosystems and agriculture. It's crucial for individuals, communities, and nations to work together to
reduce pollution and mitigate its impact on the climate.
