Title: Exploring the utilization of mobile devices of grade 12 students in


classroom engagement

I. INTRODUCTION
Description of the problem:
Mobile devices have become a crucial part of our everyday routine in this
digitally-driven world. As a result of the increasing number of smartphones
and tablets, educational institutions face both opportunities and challenges
in utilizing these powerful tools. The aim of this paper is to explore the
impact of mobile devices on grade 12 students' classroom engagement. By
examining the evolving landscape and implementing strategies to optimize
their usage, this paper seeks to enhance the learning experience. Through a
comprehensive analysis, we aim to highlight the dynamic relationship
between technology and education with the ultimate goal of maximizing the
benefits of mobile devices in the academic setting.

IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY

The study of exploring the utilization of mobile devices by grade 12


students in classroom engagement is important for several reasons.
First, it will provide insights into how mobile devices can be effectively
used in the academic setting, which can enhance the learning
experience of students. Second, it will help educational institutions to
understand the impact of mobile devices on students' academic
performance and overall learning experiences. Third, it will provide

II. METHODOLOGY

RESEARCH DESIGN

This study will utilize a qualitative research design to explore the


utilization of mobile devices by grade 12 students in classroom
engagement.

Our Participants will be the students of The National Teachers College,


SHS department.
