Facilitated by Mrs. Marie Grace L. Joven, the competition brought forth some of the school's brightest strategic minds.
In the Girl's Chess tournament, Marian Baquir of Red Phoenix faced
off against Buen Manduriao of Yellow Titans, with Baquir emerging victorious. Her journey continued with a final showdown against Liezel Barreda of Green Warriors. After an intense match lasting 30 minutes, Barreda claimed the title of Girls Chess champion.
Board A Chess matches were equally thrilling, with Rain Santiago of
Yellow Titans triumphing over Jhonas Ruz of Red Phoenix and Samuel Barreda of Blue Eagles defeating Naigel Billones of Green Warriors. The final match in this category saw Rain Santiago facing off against Samuel Barreda in a gripping 30-minute battle. Santiago's strategic prowess proved decisive as he clinched the Board A Chess championship.
The Board B Chess tournament saw Sean Averion of Blue Eagles
defeating Renz Petonio of Green Warriors and then challenging Aeron Jay Alamag of Red Phoenix. Averion's strategic brilliance prevailed, and he secured the championship in the Board B category.
