ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

I. INTRODUCTION

In response to the aforementioned Memorandum, West I District Reading

Coordinators met virtually last July 8, 2022, for the District Reading Camp, which
was launched last July 11 -July 29, 2022. Suarez National High School Area
Coordinators met last day July 9, 2022, and planned out with approved matrix by
Dr. Ronillo C. Apas, Sr., the school principal.

Reading is a complex skill each learner must possess. An integral part of a lesson
where reading is applied in all subject areas. The undeniable fact that learners
nowadays hardly pick into a book and certainly be drawn into reading. The
availability of technology sometimes hinders reading, although it helps to enhance
reading skills. It was then a challenge to educators to improve the learner’s reading
ability amid the fast-changing society we are in today. Suarez National High School
helps learners to promote and develop the love for reading to be applied with all
mediums to its greatest access to develop their reading skills.

The school-based activity is anchored on the following objectives:

A. to instill a love of reading
B. to provide tools to help students become strategic, independent readers
C. to help them to become problem solvers even in reading.
D. to enhance learners’ comprehension skills by teaching learners how to use
their experiences and their knowledge to make sense of what they are
reading
