TRIBUTE TO MY AMIABLE LEADER

It is with grief and deep sense of loss, but with total submission to the will of God, that I your
son on behalf of myself and family write to commiserate with my brothers and sisters and the
entire family over the demise of our Big Mummy and a pillar to the Ege Luke Masa Dynasty.
Big Mummy was the strongest, bravest and kindest human to grace this planet. The news of
your demise came as a shock, as I met you few months ago and you prayed for me while I
was returning from Bolowou Town in January 13, 2023, certainly death is inevitable.
Big Mummy taught me how to be generous and God fearing and many more ethics Money
cannot buy. Big Mummy lived a very exemplary life worthy of emulation and veneration.
Mama was indeed a reference point and blessing to us the Children, the entire family and the
people of Arogbo Kingdom in Ese-Odo LGA of Ondo State.
Big Mummy was known as a woman of honour and integrity, Mama was fearless,
courageous, bold and upright, was a great patriot who significantly contributed to the growth
and development of our family and was a source of inspiration to many of us. Mama was a
fountain of wisdom and rallying point for both young and old.
Your death will certainly leave a great void in our hearts, but we must take solace in your
legacies and the fond memories of your life and times.
Mama took everyone of us as her children, especially my humble self. She always called me
“Yenke, Eni Ebideighin Tobou” (my most handsome son). Mama treated me very special, I
entered her kitchen anytime at will, collected whatever I wanted unquestionably.
Every living soul has its death coupon already issued depending on when, where, and how.
But it is most certain that we will embark on that eternal journey someday. In spite of this, we
still grieve when we lose our beloved one. Indeed, the sorrow of losing a special mother like
you is heartbreaking, but God is in-charge and He controls times and season.
Mother General and a bridge builder, bringing everyone together. A dogged achiever, always
building impossible bridges and succeeding at them. Even when on the sickbed when myself
and my family visited you at home, you were a courageous woman. We saw you fighting
through intense struggles and refusing to bow to defeat. However, God’s word in Ecclesiastes
3:1-8 prevailed at His timing.
It is my earnest prayer that God will give the entire family the strength and fortitude to bear
this monumental loss.
While we miss you here on earth, the Angels walk you home.
Farewell our quintessential Big Mummy. Sleep on Mama. Till we meet to part no more.
