Role Profile – Pharmacy Advisor
Purpose: As a Pharmacy Advisor my role is to deliver excellent patient-centred care, healthy lifestyle advice, offer products and
services, as well as supporting the safe and efficient operation of my pharmacy. This role delivers brilliant care across our pharmacy
and healthcare business to achieve a great customer and patient experience.

Customer

As a Pharmacy Advisor …

• I use HUG and The Boots Healthcare Way (TBHW) to deliver complete care to my patients and customers, including offering
digital solutions e.g. Health Hub, Online Doctor, Boots App, Order & Collect etc
• I work confidently across all parts of the pharmacy in my store, including the healthcare counter
• I keep myself up to date using tools such as The Tutor, Pharmacy School, SOPs
• I understand the needs of my patients and customers, and work with my team to improve the patient experience

Business Performance

As a Pharmacy Advisor …

• I support and execute our Pharmacy Growth Plan brilliantly

• I implement the merchandising and sales plan opportunities where appropriate and I support new healthcare product launches
and pharmacy services through great conversations with my customers
• I build strong relationships with local healthcare professionals to be the pharmacy of choice in our community

 Operational Excellence

As a Pharmacy Advisor …

• I work with the team to deliver our pharmacy model day to maintain exemplar clinical and operational standards every day
• I focus on the patient behind the prescription and follow Standard Operating Procedures
• I follow the latest operational guidance to Company standards to ensure I can meet customer, patient and business needs

Skills Knowledge & Experience

• Collaborative and works well as part of a team • Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent
• Delivers great customer and patient care • Experience of working in community pharmacy
• Communicates effectively with the team and local healthcare
partners
• Completes tasks to a high standard and effectively
