Where does one fit into the hierarchy of the stressful world of employment? What role
does a person fill in an organization? The first step in making an informed decision about where
to seek employment is to determine what personal competencies best turn the cogs of the
perpetual wheel of that business. The next step in the job-seeking process is determining if one
match of the values of the organization and the individual. In contrast, the person-job fit

After carefully researching various companies, I have decided that Buc-ee’s ee's is the
company that best meets my expectations. Buc-ee’s ee's grew into a multifaceted company
through the hard work and determination of a third-generation general mercantile and gas station
owner. My work ethic, experience, and customer appreciation match the organizational fit with
the values and standards Buc-ee’s haBuc-ee's values and standards for their employees and
customers. The first facet of the company that is held in high esteem and coincides with my firm
belief that you get what you pay for is the decision to pay their employees well. Paying above-
average wages attracts a more dedicated team of skilled employees. The second core value that
resonates with me is valuing their customer and offering them what they need at a fair price (M.

Job Position
The ideal position I would apply for within this organization is general manager. This
would be a good personal- fit for me because of my years of experience, including supervisory
and management skills. I have worked in all positions within the retail business, including
stocking, bussing tables, waiting tables, taking orders, and running various point-of-sale systems.
I ordered and kept different companies stocked with all essential items. I have interacted with the
public daily and can stand 12-14 hours per day. I am used to working under pressure and
completing tasks promptly. I have experience of supervising staff in the kitchen and the front of
the store. My unique, well-rounded experience makes me a great choice because I can relate to
all aspects of the business from an employee standpoint and a from the role of
supervisorsupervisor role.

which can cause issues with more timid employees as bullying can occur. A person with a type B
personality is more easygoing and relaxed, providing an excellent opportunity for training

moments created due to errors. A type C personality has a blend of positive and negative
characteristics that focuses on being the nice guy and not creating stress or drama. It would be
difficult for a person with a type D personality to be in a supervisor role because of their toxic

risks as they get older. Deviance from this is when one faces hardships. Risk-taking continues to

they treat their employees as well as how they treat their customers. Buc-ee's also takes great
pride in its image and how the customer perceives them. They provide a friendly and clean

skills I already have. I have worked in all aspects of the retail business and have over ten years of
experience as a business owner. The main factor considered while making this decision was my
family. I have three small boys and spend 14 hours daily, seven days a week, at my business. We

to new ideas is essential as it allows the employees to feel valued and lets them know their
