(students will listen attentively)

examples/instances identifying the relevance & truth of the ideas
of the new lesson presented. So, there are three basic aspects and
these are: Fallacy, fact, and Opinion.”

“SDO Camarines Norte: Facilitating Dreams…, Valuing Aspirations…”

“I have provided here the picture in each basic
aspect for you to have a initial idea about the three
aspects.”
“What can you infer from the first picture under
fallacy?” “Ma’am, belief about ghost.”

“Yes, that’s right. How about the second picture

under Fact.” “Ma’am its shows news or
information.”

“Very good! How about the last one?”

“Ma’am, it shows the two boys having

a conversation and giving their
opinion.”

“Excellent! Thank you everyone. So, as you can

notice, these pictures are the examples of Fallacy,
Fact, and Opinion. And as we go through our
discussion, you will deeply understand the difference
between the three.”

(The students will participate in the

“Let us first tackle fallacy. Who wants to read?”
discussion)
“Fallacy is an idea which is believed
to be true but it is really false due to
incorrect information or reasoning.”
E. Discussing new
“Thank you. When we say fallacy, it is a common
concepts and
error in reasoning that will undermine the logic of
practicing new
skills your argument. Fallacies can be either illegitimate
arguments or irrelevant points, and are often
identified because they lack evidence that supports
their claim. In simplest term, it is a false or mistaken
idea.”

“SDO Camarines Norte: Facilitating Dreams…, Valuing Aspirations…”

“For example, ‘All trees have barks. Every dog barks. “Because it shows incorrect
Therefore, every dog is a tree.’ Why do you think it is information about the dog.”
considered a fallacy."
“Indeed! Additionally, the statements lacks evidence
that supports the claim.”
“Let’s proceed to the second basic aspect known as
Fact. Sophia, can you read?” “A fact is an idea which is true and can
be verified factually or proven.

“Additionally, fact is something that is known to have

happened or to exist, especially something for which
proof exists, or about which there is information.”
“For example, ‘Your heart pumps blood through your
body.‘ This example is a fact because it is true and
there is a scientific and medical bases that heart
indeeds pums blood throughout our body.”
“Is everything clear?” “Yes, Ma’am.”
“Okay, let us move to the last one. Who would like to “Opinion is an idea or statement which
read?” only comes from someone’s feelings
and cannot be proven.

“Thank you. An Opinion is the opposite of a fact.

Opinion is a view, judgement, or appraisal formed in
the mind about a particular matter. For example, ‘The
cake tastes delicious.’"
“Why do you think this statement expresses an
opinion?”
“The statement expresses an opinion
because it cannot be proven true. The
cake may be delicious for some but for
some, it may not be. To simply put, the
statement is based only on one’s
beliefs or personal preference.”
“Very good! Thank you for that comprehensive
explanation.”
“Do you have any clarification about the topic?”
“None, Ma’am.”

“That’s good to hear. I guess you really grasped our

lesson today. With that, let us try answering the
following exercises..”

what are the three basic aspects to consider in
