A) Introduction:
Drainage systems are in place to remove wastewater or extra water.
If we do not have a proper drainage system, it may lead to floods in
the low-lying areas and hence causing damage to property and
health. An improper drainage system may also cause various kinds
of disease and act as a breeding ground for various insects.

B) Dimension:
1)Roof:
• We have 4 roof drainpipes 3 inch in diameter, each 2 installed
to GF.
• If the tank overflows, the water comes down to fill the tank in
GF or free discharge.
• From FF comes 2 secondary vent pipes 3 inch in diameter, 1
from FF-02, and 1 from FF-04.
• The primary vent pipe size 4 inch and comes from the
principal riser.
2)First floor:
• We have 9 drains: 5 terrasse drain,3 balcony drains ,1 floor
drain, all have a pipe of 3 inch.
• Comes down to GF then free discharged out.
• In bath FF-04 we have WC- lavatory - bath sink – ACD, sum of
these is in a pipe of 4 inch. And comes down to GF.

 • The secondary vent pipe goes up on the roof (3 inches in
diameter).
• The pipe name is SS1 (soil stack).
• Plus 2 ACD.
• This pipe of 2nd ACD very long but we have ACD feed a clean
water that’s why we didn’t install vent.
• FF-02 is like FF-04 but we have 1 ACD instead of 2, and the
pipe name is SS2.
• In FF-02, we have 2 wash sinks. We install a pipe of 2 inch in
the floor but in riser become 3 inch, the pipe name is WS
(waste stack), on the same pipe we have a 4 inch primary vent
to the roof.
• The two pipes RW comes from the roof the comes down to
the tank or to free discharge, on each side we have a valve to
control it.
3)Ground Floor:
• GF – 10 , we have WC- lavatory – 2ACD- 1 bath sink ,all
have a pipe of 4 inch.
• From FF comes SS1 and SS2
• GF-06 we have lavatory, WC, bath sink , also 4 inch in
pipe size.
• GF-04 and GF-03 we have lavatory and ACD and 2 WC,
pipe 4 inch.
• Plus, pipe WS of 3 inch in size comes from main riser, the
sum of all is a pipe of size 5 inch.
• 2 ACD in kitchen in GF-16 and GF-19, take it with the
pipe above (5 inch) to clean out.

 4)Basement:
• We have 2 drains 3 inch , 1 for discharge , 1 for connected
municipality manhole.
NOTE : all angles are 45 degree for easy passage of dirt into pipes.
