I – OVERVIEW OF THE SUBJECT


A. SUBJECT DESCRIPTION
Physical Education and Health offers experiential learning for learners to adopt an active
life for fitness and lifelong health. The knowledge, skills and understanding which include physical
and health literacy competencies support them in accessing, synthesizing and evaluating
information; making informed decisions; enhancing and advocating their own as well as others’
fitness and health.

B. SUBJECT LEARNING OUTCOME


This course on exercise for fitness enables the learner to set goals, monitor one’s
participation in aerobic and muscle- and bone-strengthening activities and constantly evaluate how
well one has integrated this into one’s personal lifestyle. It consists of an array of offerings which
learners can choose from.
C. SUBJECT REQUIREMENT/S
1. You are required to prepare a long plastic folder or the ordinary folder in color orange, and a
fastener to match, long clear envelope, black ink writing pen, liquid eraser, and art materials for
future needs.
2. Student Performance Checklist would be given at the end of every quarter to evaluate your own
work and to refer to when you are stuck in class.
3. Do not buy writing pads since you will be provided with activity sheets either for free or for sale.
4. Please be reminded that you are to prepare one folder in the designated color in each quarter for
the compilations of their written outputs for future reference.
5. Enter the classroom code for you to open your google classroom.
6. Make your own Youtube account since your output would be uploaded in it.
7. 1 Performance Task is given in every Quarter.

Please proceed to the Senior High School building for the submission of learning outputs for Grade
10 and so with the other Grade Levels except Grade 7.
 Grade 7 - Room St. Anne (JHS building near the canteen)

 Grade 8 - Room St. Joseph


 Grade 9 - Room Holy Child
 Grade 10 - Room St. Ignatius
 Grade 11 & 12 - Room St. James

II – ADVOCACY & REMINDERS


 You need to choose a perfect spot at home as your best area for learning and studying, taking into
consideration the proper ventilation and lighting that makes it conducive for learning.
 Create a study time table for better management of your daily schedule of activities even when at
home and doing self-learning.
 Please don’t miss creating your study time table and submission schedule of learning modules.
Failure to submit your learning modules on time means that there will be deduction of points.
 Make sure to submit your learning outputs every week as required by the subject teacher.
Remember that your teachers are also burdened with a lot of work all throughout the week and
your tardiness might add to that burden. You are not supposed to submit your learning outputs on
the day you pleased as the teachers must check them right away upon submission.
 Know how to meet deadlines and avoid too many excuses.

IV - PERFORMANCE TASK FOR THE FIRST QUARTER


The following are the standards for the first quarter. Read below to get yourself directed for this
quarter’s journey of learning.

CONTENT STANDARD: The learner demonstrates understanding of 20th century music styles
and characteristic features.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD: The learner creates musical pieces using particular style/s of the

LEARNING COMPETENCIES:
 Self-assesses health-related fitness (HRF). status, barriers to physical activity assessment
participation and one’s diet
 Sets Frequency Intensity Time Type (FITT) goals based on training principles to achieve
and/or maintain health-related fitness (HRF).
 Analyzes physiological indicators such as heart rate, rate of Weeks 1 to 10 PEH11FH-Ik-t-9
