Preparation

1. Review

The teacher will ask question about the performance activity the students performed.

1. In your previous activity, what are the different physical fitness components involved from the game?

2. Why do you think the components are essentials in that field of event?

2. Motivation

The teacher will introduce another physical activity (volleyball). The teacher will introduce some basic
skill involved in volleyball.

The following are described:

1. serving, passing (forearm underhand passing)

2. setting (overhead passing)

3. attack options (hitting/spiking)

4. blocking (from attack and defend positions)

5. defensive skills (rolling & sliding).

3. Setting of Objectives

The teacher will present the learning objectives to the class in Bisaya dialect for easier comprehension to
the students.

a. Identify the different physical fitness components applied from different skills involved in volleyball.

b. Explain the concept of inter-relationship of the different physical fitness components from the
different skills in volleyball.

c. Undertake physical activity and physical fitness assessment

B. Presentation

1. Preparatory Activity

# The teacher will group the students into two four (4).

# The teacher will instruct the students to go to their respective group.

2. Analysis

1. Are health-related and skill-related fitness components inter- related to each other?

2. Why and how are they inter-related to each other?

Note: Questions will be translated during explanation. bisaya

Ans. The skill-related components of physical fitness relate specifically to skills that are used in sports,
and often (not always) combine other components of fitness. For example, power is strength at speed;
and agility is a combination of power and balance

- Skill-related fitness refers to your ability to perform physical tasks efficiently as it relates to a particular
sport, and health-related fitness relates to your day-to-day activities.

- When you train with weights, you can build muscular strength and endurance at the same time. When
you lift weights with intensity, your heart rate can increase to the point you are working your
cardiovascular system vigorously.

3. Abstraction

 The teacher will discuss and explain the basic skills involved in volleyball.

4. Application

Activity Proper:

 The teacher will inspect first the area of the game to be played in order to secure the safety of
the students, and double checked the layout, using measuring tape, if it was measured correctly.

*Used a ranged of teaching strategies that enhance learner achievement in literacy and numeracy skills.

*Established safe and secure learning environment to enhance learning through the consistent
implementation of policies, guidelines, and procedures.

*Applied a knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching areas (Math) has been applied.

 The teacher will assign a captain ball in each group and let them perform “bato bato pick” to
know what groups will compete in the first elimination game’

 The teacher will tell the student that knock-out system will be applied as tournament method.

 The teacher will tell the students that only ten (10) points are needed to win the game. This will
help the activity to be finished on the acquired hour given per subject a day.

harmony at the end of the game.

*Apply a knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching areas (ESP) has been applied.

*Maintained a learning environments that promote fairness, respect and care to encourage learning.

IV. Evaluation:
Analysis of Learners’ Products through Practicum.

1. In what way that these two physical fitness components inter link with each other?

- for example, Aerobic activities develop cardiorespiratory endurance and burn calories to aid in
achieving a healthy body composition. Muscle-strengthening activities develop muscular strength and
endurance and assist with the development of a healthy body composition. Activities such as stretching
and yoga help improve flexibility.

2. Site some examples to prove that they are interrelated with each other?

-The skill-related components of physical fitness relate specifically to skills that are used in sports, and
often (not always) combine other components of fitness. For example, power is strength at speed; and
agility is a combination of power and balance
