Once there were two friends named Ram and Shyam. They were
brought to the court of law. The police and arrested them. The charge was
that they had quarreled and injured each other seriously. They had disturbed
the peace of the town. Nobody cloud believe that they would fight with each
other that way.
The court was full of people. The entire town was curious to see the
preceding of the court. They also wanted to see the judgment given by the
judge. Both the friends had hand cuffs around their wrists and strings to their
arms.
Ram, one of the two was brought before the judge. He was made to
stand the cage. The magistrate looked at him and asked the reason of
fighting. Ram said, My lord you may punish me as you like, I have no
complaint. I do not want to tell the reason of our fighting. Shyam was made
to stand in the cage. He also said that the judge may punish him any way that
he would like but he would not tell the reason of fighting. Everybody was
surprised. The judge himself was at sea. He was very much puzzled. Both
the culprits were accepting their crime and none of them was ready to be
declared innocent. At last the judge threatened them to punish both of them.

One of the most important duties of typists is the preparation of

correspondence. Letters convey their message more effectively if they are
attractively produced. Business letter writing is said to be an art. There are
some people who consider that there is sort of special business English
vocabulary to be used for such letters. The Chief characteristics of a good
letter are clearness, accuracy, brevity and courtesy. There are various
components of a business letter. The ideal business letter is one which refers
simply to the matter to be discussed and states in clean English what the
writer has to say. It should be remembered that business people who have no
time to read a long letter which takes several paragraphs to state what could
be simply stated in one or two well-chosen sentences. The letter should
express thoughts clearly.
This requires a certain amount of practice, although some people find
it easier than other to write such letters. It is a good plan always to read
through a letter after it has been written to make sure that nothing can be
misunderstood. Words used should be the best to employ in the circumstance
to express exact meaning of the writer.

Nashik is a city in the state of Mahashtra. This is an ancient holy city.

Some archeological sites state early human settling evidence from at least
five years. The place is important for Hindu ritual for the afterlife offerings.
It is also one of the four locations of the Kumbha Mela Festival.
Nashik is one of the worlds holist Hindu cities. Kumbhmela is held
here once in 12 years along with four other cities in India. Lord Rama along
with Lakshman and Sita spent 14 years of his exile at Tapovan near Nashik.
The city came under the rule of Mugal in 16th century and was renamed
Gulshanabad. Then it comes under Peshwa of Maratha Empire in 1818. City
is also noted for its participation in freedom struggle. Freedom fighters like
Veer Savarkar and Anant Laxman Kanhere were born in Nashik.
The name of the Nashik has been changing since long time as per
different rulers. It is believed the name Nashik was derived after the incident
in Ramayana when Lakshaman chopped off the nose Surpanakha Ravans
Sister. One school of thoughts states that Nashik is combination of nava
shikha nine summits. It was also names as Gulshnabad by Muslim rulers
which is immediately revolted by the residents.

Our foreign policy is based on the principle of positive neutrality. It is

not a negative approach. It is guided by the spirit of non-interference in the
affairs of others. This policy is rooted in our historical background. This is
not to mean that we do not want to express our opinions even when we are
called upon to do so. Some countries of the world feel that our policy of non-
interference in the conflicts is due to weakness. They do not approach of it.
That type of approach is incorrect. We want this world should be free from
conflicts and we cannot possibly take the trouble of involving ourselves in
one way or the other when we have our own problems to solve. Until and
unless we find solutions to all of them, our voice may not be heard in the
counsels of the world.
We are against the destructive weapons like atom bomb. Some think
of solving the problems by using them. The philosophy of our policy is to
avoid such unnecessary conflict in the world and to be of some assistance
when it is ought for from us. We believe in easing the major problems rather
than aggravating them. Our friendly relational with the neighboring and
other countries is the success of our foreign policy.

Maharashtra on Sunday announced a total farm debt waiver. Its

conditions are not yet fully known but it will escalate costs beyond the Rs.
30, 500 crore waiver announced for marginal farmers. Next Punjab is
expected to announce a waiver to fulfill the Congress electoral promise. But
chief ministers are surely aware that these waivers are not a durable solution.
A national loan waiver for farmers nine years ago, for instance, did nothing
to solve structural problems. Instead, through the mechanism of loan
waivers, agricultures distress is now morphing into fiscal dangers for states.
Meanwhile violent farmer protests in Madhya Pradesh seemed to
catch its state government napping. Over the last decade MP did have an
impressive track record in wheat production. Focus on cereals however has
blindsided policy makers to two parallel developments which have led to
contemporary challenges. Late decade was characterized by enhanced
private investment in agriculture in the form of tube well irrigation and
intense input use. Government needs to focus on building infrastructure
which links farmers to urban centers consuming horticultures products. It is
only with the availability of adequate infrastructure.

There comes a point in life when we find everything meaningless.

The various plant associations included in the general term desert

occur in areas which are deficient in moisture. But moisture deficiency is not
solely a matter of low rainfall. Deserts cannot be defined as having less than,
say, 10 inches of rain a year because there are a number of things that
combine to determine the effectiveness of rainfall in terms of plants.
When rain falls on the ground, part of it evaporated again, part runs
off over the surface and part sinks into the soil. Only the part that sinks into
the soil can be effective in the support of vegetation, and if the percolation
downward through a porous soil goes on too rapidly even this water may go
beyond the reach of the plants. The presence of only scattered erophytic
shrubs, therefore may be the result of low rainfall, rapid evaporation, rapid
drainage, too-rapid downward percolation or a combination of these. The
rate of evaporation is much greater at higher temperatures than at lower ones,
and it increases also with lower humidity and with higher wind velocities.
And there are still other elements affecting evaporation. The amount of water
that remains on the surface to be evaporated after a rain depends on the
degree of slope.
