Requirements to earn the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Credential

Level 2 | ACTP Path

Eligibility:
125+ hours of coaching education
500+ hours of coaching experience

Requirements:
10 hours of Mentor Coaching
Successful completion (passing score) of a performance evaluation
Successful completion (passing score) of the ICF Credentialing Exam

Level 2 / ACTP Path


1. Completion of an entire ICF Accredited Coach Training Program (Level 2/ACTP). Level
2 and Accredited Coach Training Programs (ACTP) have built into their program the
education hours, mentor coaching and performance evaluation required to earn an
ICF PCC Credential. If you have completed either of these education program types,
you will submit your program certificate and coaching experience hours in your
credential application. Once the application review process is complete, you will
then take the ICF Credentialing Exam.
2. Candidates for the PCC Credential must have at least 500 hours of coaching
experience following the start of their coach-specific education. The experience
hours must have been with at least 25 clients, and 50 of the hours must have
occurred within the 18 months prior to submitting the credential application. Of the
500 or more coaching experience hours, at least 450 of the hours must be paid.
3. Candidates on the Level 2 / ACTP application path would complete Mentor Coaching
as part of their coaching education program. The Mentor Coaching hours must occur
over a three-month period or longer. Of the 10 hours of mentoring, three hours
must be one-on-one. The remaining seven hours may be one-on-one or in a group.
For the PCC Credential, the Mentor Coach must be a current ICF Credential-holder in
good standing at the PCC or MCC level.
4. Candidates on the Level 2 / ACTP application path will need to pass a performance
evaluation as part of their completion of their coaching education program.
5. All candidates for the PCC credential, regardless of application path, are required to
pass a computer-based written exam administered by ICF Credentials and Standards.
The ICF Credentialing Exam is a tool designed to measure a coach’s knowledge of
and ability to apply the ICF definition of coaching, ICF Core Competencies and ICF
Code of Ethics. ICF Credentials and Standards has partnered with Pearson VUE to
deliver the new ICF Credentialing Exam. Through its global network of testing centers

and OnVUE (Pearson’s online service), candidates may either complete the exam at
an on-site Pearson VUE testing center or in their home or office while being
monitored by an online proctor. All candidates for an ICF Credential must complete
the ICF Credentialing Exam as part of the Credential process.

Investment to complete ICF PCC – Level 2/ACTP Path


1. Completion of the Level 2/ACTP PCC Program with 125 hours coach specific training + 10
hours mentor coaching + Performance assessment - AED 20,000 (USD 5,450) + 5% VAT.

3. Attend Coaching Lab – Instructor led (Practicing ICF PCC level benchmarks)
PCC Coaching Lab keeps happening from time to time. It is conducted online. PCC
participants can attend as many coaching lab’s as they wish. The next coaching lab
schedule will be informed to you once you have registered for the PCC program. As part of
the Level 2/ACTP program with us you can attend as many PCC Coaching Lab as you wish
to attend. Its free for life for all our PCC participants.

Other details
1. 10 hours mentor coaching
These 10 hour of mentor coaching will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will be 7
hours of group mentor coaching, and the second phase will be 3 hours of one-to-one
mentor coaching with the participant based on the mutual convenience of the mentor
coach and the participant.

During the 10 hours of mentor coaching, nine coaching session recordings (audio files/MP3)
of approximately 30-40 minutes each must be submitted. Six recordings will be submitted
after the 7 hours of group mentor coaching towards supervision and feedback, and three
will be submitted during the one-to-one mentor coaching sessions.

2. Performance Evaluation Requirements
For ICF PCC a participant has to coach as per ICF PCC benchmarks. The coaching will be
done live in front of NLP Coaching Academy assessor (Multiple attempts allowed).

NLP Coaching Academy mentors will mentor you towards the performance evaluation, until
you get a firm grasp of the benchmarks. All this will be done in the Coaching Lab, and within
the 10 hours of mentor coaching.

After clearing the performance evaluation, the participant gets the Level 2/ACTP program
completion letter, and using that, they can file for ICF PCC level application with ICF. Please
