Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day in IB Arthur School

On Friday, September 22nd 2023, IB Arthur School celebrated Kwame Nkrumah

Memorial Day. This is a day to commemorate the birth date or our country,
Ghana’s first president. We also acknowledge all the great things Nkrumah has
done for the country. For this reason, the day has been made a public holiday.
In IB Arthur, this celebration was mostly enjoyed by the students in nursery. I
personally, was not there to witness it, but by the way they had beautifully
designed the walls of their block/building, may suggest that the really enjoyed it.
On the other hand, the primary and lower secondary block were quite casual about
the celebration. We did not decorate our walls neither did we do anything unusual.
Nevertheless, we still acknowledged the celebration.
In conclusion, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day was truly a memorable day in
IB Arthur and students; including me, can’t wait to see what the school would
organise next year. Maybe it would be much more memorable than this one.
