INTRODUCTION:

MEGHA: “Leadership is not a position or a title, it is action and example.” The Investiture ceremony of our
student council is a highly dignified and sincere occasion. As standard bearer of the Augustine Family our
captains lead us along the path of duty, purity and truth. They are prepared to don the mantle of leadership
and responsibility while carrying it out with their utmost dedication and selfless service.

As the new batch of students’ council for the session 2023-24 get invested with their responsibilities today,
they will get manifold opportunities to learn, reflect and introspect as they embark on a journey with new
trysts, new problems and new solutions. Let us all express our deepest and sincerest gratitude to Lord for his
bountiful blessings to seek strength and help to face trials and tribulation during this new academic year.

HYMN: It takes courage

STORY: Joseph and the technicolor coat.

CHRISTINA: The story of Joseph is a beautiful illustration of how God never abandons us and always leads us

CHRISTINA: The Mystics knows the secret that our soul, which is essentially spiritual in nature is nourished by
Divine bliss, by Divine grace. The Sanskrit word Atma means the soul of man in a pure condition of joy. A
valuable remembrance for all of us today is that the Divine joy, bliss, peace and harmony is ever flowing, is
ever accessible and it is the birthright of every soul because it is the natural condition of the soul.

CROWNING OF OUR LADY

MEGHA: Amidst the waves of joy enveloping the entire atmosphere, we welcome our newly invested Head
Girl to crown our Lady. It is a long-standing tradition to adorn the statue or image of Mother Mary with
flowers and blossoms in the beginning of the month of May, a month dedicated to Mother Mary. Thus, as an
exclusive opportunity, the Head Girl’s first assignment is to crown Our Lady and adorn her with flowers.
Mother Mary is the epitome of Divine love and grace. She takes the imperfect prayers we offer and receives
them with joy. She wraps us in the loving embrace of her maternal mantle, and presents these prayers—and
us along with them—to her Son Jesus.

We all have gathered today to crown the statue of Mother Mary, mother of our Lord, Jesus Christ. As we
acclaim Mary, the mother of God, as our queen and as the mother of the Church, let us imitate her example
and be attentive to the Word of God. As we honor Mary, who is higher than the cherubim, let us pray that
through her intercession we may achieve holiness of life, and a deepened faith, hope, and love, as we seek to
do the will of God in all things.

As the Head Girl comes forward to crown Our Lady, let us now join our hands and sing the hymn together
(Bring flowers of the rarest)
(Head girl will walk towards the statue holding the crown followed by the newly elected Captains for
showing of petals)

CHRISTINA: Let us now recite the prayers to our lady –

[Bhagyasree Ma’am recites (Our Father, Hail Mary (3 times) and Glory be to the father)]

MEGHA: Mother Mary is the Epitome of Divine love and grace. Let us now honour our Mother by singing
her praise.

After the program .. give a brief thanks. And call upon Headmistress Ma’am / …………………. For the vote of
thanks.
