Assignment 1

BACKGROUND
The world has now entered the era of IR 4.0. All aspects of life are experiencing significant changes. With
the rapid advancement of today's technology, many management systems have been developed to
facilitate management for any organization. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the world.
The use of advanced technology is becoming more and more widely used globally. Therefore, today many
computer-based management systems exist in any organization. However, existing systems always need
to be improved according to current needs. There are also organisations that use manual, paper-based or
computer-based management methods.

OBJECTIVES
1. To give students exposure to how real organisations work.
2. To give research exposure to students.

INSTRUCTIONS
Each tutorial group has been divided into small groups and given organizations as follows:

Then each tutorial group must form small groups with a minimum of 4 and maximum of 5. In each tutorial
group, list the relevant management systems according to the given organization. Next, each small group
choose a management system that has been listed.

According to the systems life cycle, there are 6 stages involved. However, this assignment is only cover
stage 1 and 2, which are Analysis and Design. Each small group has to write a piece of paper that covers
two levels. The content of the paperwork is as follows:

1. Abstract
2. Executive Summary (Complete the Executive Summary template in Attachment A)
3. Background of Study
a. Background of The Organisation/Company
b. Background of The Selected System (What the system do?)

4. Stage 1: Analysis
a. Background of Current System

a. File Structures and Data Structures
b. Input Formats (including data entry screens or user-interface layouts)

8. References
9. Appendix A: Analysis Methods

Format of Paperwork:
Create the paperwork according to the creativity of the respective small group. On the cover of the
paperwork MUST state the following details:
