Emergency Operation Centres (EOCs)

 State Emergency Control Room is located at


Secretariat and is functional around the clock manned
by Control Room Operators and members of Quick
Response Team (QRT). The Control Room is connected
with all National Disaster Management Hub (MHA
Control Room, NRSC Hyderabad, NESAC Shillong)
 24 X 7 District Emergency Operational Centres (DEOC)
are functional at all four Districts.

Road Ahead with Support from NDMA
• Focus on Mainstreaming DRR & CCA into developmental plans
• Adoption of the Sendai Framework of action on Disaster Management.
• Establishment of SEOC and DEOCs in the state with state of art facilities.

• Tie-up with different institutions within and outside the country for
knowledge sharing and capacity building
• Follow bottoms up approach with VDMP and training to local communities
and provide them with necessary facilities.

risk reduction & response.
