INTRODUCTION

hero motto crop limited is the world's largest manufacturer of two-wheelers. the company has
four manufacturing facilities namely dharuhera and Gurgaon in Haryana Hardwar in uttarakhand
and Neman in Rajasthan. the company is based in new Delhi India. the company offers a range
of bikes starting from cd dawn cd deluxe splendor plus splendor nxg passion and passion pro. the
125 cubic centimeter segment offers glamour super splendor and glamour f1. it also has an
offering called achiever in 135 cubic centimeter segment. in the 150 cubic centimeter and above
the company offers brands like hunk cbz x-trim charisma and the charisma zmr. it also offers a
100 cubic centimeter scooter pleasure. hero Moto carp limited was incorporated in the year 1984
with the name hero Honda motors ltd. the company was established as a joint venture company
between honda motor company of japan and hero group. in the year 1983 they signed a joint
collaboration agreement and formed the company. the joint venture between India’s hero group
and honda motor company japan has not only created the world's single largest two wheeler
company but also one of the most successful joint ventures worldwide. in the year 1985 the
company commenced their commercial production at dharuhera plant in Haryana and introduced
their first motorcycle cd 100 in the market. in the year 1989 they launched the new motorcycle
model sleek in the market and in the year 1991 they introduced new motorcycle model cd 100 ss
in the market. in the year 1995 the company introduced their extraordinary product splendor in
the market.in the year 1997 the company inaugurated their second manufacturing facility at
Gurgaon in Haryana. also they introduced new motorcycle model street in the market. in the year
1999 they launched hero Honda cbz the first 150cc motorcycle in the indian two wheeler industry.
in the year 2001 the company introduced new models passion and joy in the market. in the next
year they introduced new models dawn and ambition in the market.in the year 2003 the company
launched new motorcycle models namely cd dawn splendor+ and passion plus in the market. also
they launched hero Honda charisma the industry's first 223cc motorcycle. in the year 2004 they
introduced new models ambition 135 and cbz* in the market. during the year they renewed the
joint technical agreement with the honda motors company japan.in the year 2005 the company
launched super splendor cd deluxe glamour and achiever in the market. in the year 2006 the
company forayed into scotter segment and launched 100cc gearless scotter pleasure in the market.
in the year 2007 the company launched splendor nxg cd deluxe passion plus.

consumer daily visiting programs.

4. To sale continual improvement in product quality and product up gradation with effective
research development.
5. To meet the needs and expectations of customers consistently to resolve customers complaints
within timeframe.
6. To monitor and measure customer satisfaction.

INTRODUCTION OF STUDY:

Marketing activities are nothing but how you are going to handle the marketing mix (Price,
product, place, promotion, positioning, people, and physical evidence) in order to market your
product successfully. One of the advantages of the marketing considerations with a view to
finding out how best to allocate their resources. Another one of the advantages of the marketing
activity is that when companies know what type of marketing plan they want to implement, they
can conduct the necessary research needed to fully implement the plan in conjunction with
achieving maximum customer satisfaction. A well blended marketing activity helps with goal
achievement, which will constitute the companies tactical-tool-kit for establishing strong
positioning in the target markets.
Marketing strategy is a long-term, forward-looking approach to planning with the fundamental
goal achieving a sustainable competitive advantage. Strategic planning involves an analysis of
the company's strategic initial situation prior to the formulation, evaluation and selection of
market-oriented competitive position that contributes to the company's goals and marketing
objectives.
Strategic marketing, as a distinct field of study emerged in the 1970s, and built on strategic
management that preceded it. Marketing strategy highlights the role of marketing as a link
between the organization and its customers.

we must know the terms: needs, wants, demands, products, exchange, transac tions and markets.

2.1 Concept of Marketing:

In modern times the marketing concept gives emphasis on consumer needs and the freedom of
consumer to choose. It is realized that production is no longer a problem due to technological
developments, but marketing the product is most important.
The basic features of the modern concept are:
(i) Customer orientation,
(ii) Integrated marketing, and

(iii) Profitable sales through customer’s satisfaction.

1. Customer Orientation:
The company should completely customer oriented. The com pany should be looked through
customer’s eyes. Customers wants should be taken care of, and firm should manufacture what
the customer wants. Consumer research should be carried on to study the new and changing
needs of the customers.

2. Integrated Marketing:
In this, it should be remembered that “the purpose of the company is to create customer”.
Integrated marketing means that, the various departments of the company must recognize that the
action they take, must have a good effect on the company’s ability to create and retain customers.
Integrated marketing also means that there should be intelligent adaptation and coordination of
the four P’s of Produce, Price, Place and Promotion to have strong relationships with customers.

3. Customer Satisfaction:
Since focus is on customer, a clear ‘commitment to quality of product or service’ and a
‘considerate mechanism for dealing with customer complaints’ should be there.
From the point of view of customer satisfaction, following elements are considered:
1. Specification i.e. expectation of the customer from product.
2. Conformance to the specification i.e. whether it meets the expectations from the product.
3. Reliability i.e. whether it continue to meet expectation.

Suggestion

1. The customers are giving more weightage to the sales promotion techniques so shop can
improve or boost the sales promotion techniques.

2. Radio mirchi, Big FM can be the suitable media to promote the Shop. Sponsorship of the
various Events, Trade Fairs will be a better choice for marketing about the Magar Agro Service
Centre.

3. The pamphlets should be printed in such a way that it should not only advertise about the shop
but also provides the information about the benefits of the consumption of the product. In order
to attract the Costumers/ Farmers segments, the pamphlets should have some delicious recipes on
the other side of it

4. Special offers should be focused for all the customers and farmers at the time of festival like
Rainy season , Dashahara etc.

5. Discount coupons should be given to the consumers in order to increase the sales and
frequency pattern of consumption for agro products.
6. Contribution of Social and Digital Media plays vital role in today’s era. Research appeals to
design the Social Media Campaign to promote the product/s of the shop.

Researcher studied the effectiveness marketing strategies. Prasanna Motors Nira during
Internship project, researcher observed awareness of Marketing tools and strategies, its
effectiveness and also studied this satisfaction of the consumer for Prasanna Motors Nira .“In
contribution of role of digital and social media in today’s life, researcher proposed it as one of
the effectiveness Marketing of shop and it effective application for the business benefits.
