Hiring a Bouncy Castle and/or Inflatables for Entertainment

At:- Roydon Village Hall. High Road, Roydon, Diss, Norfolk, IP22 5RB

Date and time of hire of Roydon Village Hall:

Organising a bouncy castle event is not something to be treated lightly. Children have a raised risk
of injury from bouncy castles, in some cases suffering life-changing injuries for which organisers
have been sued for hundreds of thousands of pounds. Because village hall insurance doesn't
normally extend to bouncy castles, many village halls won't allow such events on their premises.
You will therefore understand that if you do wish to host a bouncy castle event at Roydon Village
Hall, you will be required to observe our strict requirements to protect both yourself as hirer of the
Hall and the Hall trustees.

Roydon Village Hall Management Committee would like to clarify the following conditions
regarding the hiring of a Bouncy Castle and/or inflatables for entertainment when hiring the hall as
a venue for a private function: -

• You the hirer hold full responsibility to ensure proper management of the use of any
Bouncy Castle and or inflatables for entertainment for your event.
• Roydon Village Hall Management Committee hold NO responsibility for any accident
occurring from use of a Bouncy Castle and/or inflatables for entertainment at your event.

It is your responsibility to ensure proper and adequate insurance is in place for use of a Bouncy
Castle and/or inflatables for entertainment at your event, this is between you as the hirer and the
person/people/company providing the said equipment. These insurances include, but not limited
to:-
• Public Liability Insurance
• PAT Test Certificate
• PIPA Test Certificate or RPRI inspection Certificate

Please ask your bouncy castle hire company to email roydonvillagehall1@gmail.com with copies
of their public liability insurance, and their PAT test certificate – we need to see these before your
hire.

It is suggested that a hirer gains a disclaimer from all users (or guardians of users) of bouncy
castles, releasing them of any responsibility for accidents or damages caused in relation to the
bouncy castle.

By signing this form, you (the hirer) are taking on all responsibility for your hire that includes a
bouncy castle or other inflatable devices. You will be agreeing that we (Roydon village hall
committee) can accept no responsibility for any damage – to the building or people using the
bouncy castle – caused in relation to the bouncy castle during your hire.
