ABSTRACTION:
Arabic literature (Arabic) Al-Adab Al-Arabi is the writing created by speakers
(not necessarily native speakers) of the Arabic language, both prose and poetry.
Persian and Urdu literature, for example, are not frequently included because they are
written in the Arabic alphabet but not in the Arabic language. Adab is an Arabic word
for literature that comes from a verb that means "to invite someone for a dinner" and
connotes civility, culture, and enrichment. The Thousand and One Nights, along with
numerous other works, is commonly classified as Arabic epic literature. They are
usually collections of short stories or episodes stitched together into a large tale,
similar to the Tales.
Asian literature reflects the rich and diverse cultural and ethnic heritages of
countries such as China, India, Japan, Vietnam, Korea, and others. It is essentially
the literary goods produced on the continent of Asia throughout history, as defined by
its technical title. Immigrants to a new country are also depicted in Asian American
literature, with Asian protagonists attempting to maintain their former customs while
adapting to new surroundings. It gives readers the chance to learn about different
cultures through a range of literary styles. The Mahabharata is an ancient Indian epic
in which the main story revolves around two branches of a family, the Pandavas and
Kauravas, who fight for the throne of Hastinapura in the Kurukshetra War. Several
minor stories about persons who are dead or alive, as well as philosophical discourses,
are interwoven within this story.
English literature is the study of literature written in the English language. The
writers do not necessarily have to be from England but might be from all over the
world. Some of history's greatest famous writers are represented, including James
Joyce (Ireland), William Shakespeare (England), Mark Twain (United States), Arthur
Conan Doyle (Scotland), Dylan Thomas (Wales), and Vladimir Nabokov (Russia). The
history of English literature spans more than five centuries. It includes writers from all
over the world and from various time periods, as well as every major genre and style of
writing. William Shakespeare has tried his hands in both plays as well as poetry.
Some of his best plays include; The Merchant of Venice, Romeo and Juliet, The
Tempest, Othello, King Lear, Mid-Summer Night’s Dream, Macbeth and Hamlet.
