1. It’s one of the most spoken languages in the world
The first of my reasons for learning the Russian language? More than 260
million people around the world speak it. Not only is it the official language
of Russia, but it has official status in Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
It’s also spoken regularly in Israel, the Baltics, China, Ukraine, Armenia and
even the United States. It’s sometimes considered the most spoken
language in Europe, and, according to Ethnologue, Russian is the 8th
most spoken language in the world.

2. Knowing the Russian language improves employment

prospects
Since the beginning of the new millennium, Russia has been
(re)positioning itself as a major global economic force. The emergence of
a new Russian middle class has led many Russians to travel abroad,
marking the tourism industry. If you work in tourism, knowing how to
speak Russian is definitely something to put on your CV.
When it comes to international affairs, the events in Ukraine in
2014 proved that Russia is trying to reclaim its position as a
geopolitical leader alongside the US, the EU, and others. Russia

Our Russian course prepares you for certifications
TRKI/TORFL is an acronym for the test of Russian as a
foreign language. The English abbreviation is TORFL. It is
an international state examination to assess the Russian
language proficiency level.

1. BEGINNER( TEL 1 ) 30 hours

•This is a first step, where the learners are introduced to the culture.
•Understands and uses common everyday idioms and very simple
sentences geared at satisfying actual requirements.
•Could identify himself/herself and others, as well as ask and answer
questions regarding personal data such as where he/she lives, individuals
he/she knows, and possessions.
•Will converse in a straightforward manner if the other person speaks slowly
and clearly and is willing to assist.

Successful performance at the Test at Elementary Level represents a

standard of initial competence in Russian which demonstrates a candidate
can satisfy their elementary communicative needs in a limited number of
everyday situations. The certificate of Elementary Level proves the
competencies of a candidate for further language learning and
achievement of Basic Level of Russian language proficiency.

2. Elementary ( TBL 2) 40 hours

•At this level, students are learning how to function successfully in social
situations.
•Be able to greet individuals, inquire about their well-being, and react to the
news using simple common courtesy words. This level will help you stand
out from the crowd of new- comers.
•Grammatical components such as parts of speech, tenses, connectors, and
other essentials would be included at this level.

Successful performance at the Test at Basic Level represents a standard

competence in Russian which demonstrates a candidate can satisfy their
basic communicative needs in a limited number of situations in everyday
and cultural spheres. This level stands for the minimum level required to
obtain Russian citizenship. At the same time, this level is not sufficient for
studying in Russian educational institutions, except for preparatory faculties
(programs or courses) for foreigners.
What is TORFL?
TRKI/TORFL is an acronym for the test of Russian as a foreign
language. The English abbreviation is TORFL. It is an
international state examination to assess the Russian language
proficiency level. Also, there are separate TRKI/TORFL tests
utilizing topical vocabularies, such as the Russian Language for
Professional Purposes in tourism or business. Appearing for
these exams will add a bonus to your resume and help you to
grow.

Modular learning system

One module - three lessons of 90 minutes. The focus of each
module is one lexical topic, one grammatical topic, and one
pronunciation topic.

Vocabulary
Every week we work on a new lexical topic. You can also
practice it using the mobile app, on your tablet or computer.

Pronunciation
Pronunciation for every lesson. We carefully monitor how you
speak and actively develop the skill of correct pronunciation.

Grammar
We don't teach hundreds of rules. We show you a pattern
(grammatical construction) and immediately activate it at a
conversational level. Thus, we form the habit of its use.
