Requirements

Electricity Generation and • BSc/BEng/BTech in Electrical Engineering or related Degree
Distribution (from an approved ECSA accredited institution)
• Registered as a Professional Engineer/Technologist with
ECSA
• A minimum of 8 years’ relevant post qualification experience
SALARY required in the day to day management and engineering of
a real-time SCADA/DMS system for running operations in a
R1 174 257 – R1 633 009 p.a. HV, MV and LV Network Control Centre
• Linux/MS Server experience and an advanced proficiency in
computer literacy
REFERENCE NUMBER • Knowledge of Network analysis/optimization tools like
DigSilent
NRG 02/24 • Developing, drafting and supervising engineering processes,
policies, best practices, procedures, and ensuring compliance
thereof.
CLOSING DATE • Knowledge of tenders and contract management an advantage
• Communicate effectively with internal and external entities.
26.01.2024 • Must be available outside of normal working hours to attend to
& direct emergency work and be available for standby duties
ELIGIBILITY

• In-house body of knowledge regarding ADMS functional
capabilities.
• Identify opportunities for leveraging the capabilities of the
ADMS.
• Develop and deploy new functions of the ADMS.
• Develop ADMS reporting and data manipulation
requirements.
• Remain current in all developments and aspects of ADMS
applications and implement solutions.
• Planning ADMS training courses and workshops, both internal
and externally developed and mentoring of staff.
• Guide, develop and implement innovative project designs and
the execution of ADMS methodology.
• Managing the portfolio of ADMS projects to minimize overlap
and co-ordinate project inter-dependencies and cross-cutting
impacts
