❖ Methods to ensure that program outcomes and objectives are achieved :-
department monitor the learning outcomes on regular basis by using the various assessment methods
suggested by the higher education department of MP and carefully observe that whether preplanned
objectives achieved or not. Assessment methods are as follows.
(i) Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)
(ii) Attendance
(iii) Active involvement of the students in the classroom discussion.
(iv) Internship and project work

❖ Student enrichment programs organized by the department :-

• 03 Expert lectures delivered in the webinar organized on 25/02/2021 by the assistant


professors of different educational institute of M.P. government.
• On the occasion of National Constitution Day 2023, department had organized online
lectures for the students. Speakers was from MP higher education institutes.
• Lecture on Fundamental Duties on November 1st, 2023 on the occasion of Madhya
Pradesh Statehood Day.

❖ Seminars / Workshops organized by the department:-

▪ Seminar on the topic “योग एवं स्वास््य का अंतर संबंध” held on 25th August, 2023.
▪ In order to celebrate National Voters Day 2023, an expert lecture was organized on 25/01/2023. Essay and
Slogan competition was also the part of the same event.

✓ Ms. Shyamu Malviya - Graduated in 2019 from this department. Presently working
as Samvida Sikshak Varg-II.
✓ Ms. Anshu Soni – Graduated in 2018 from this department. Presently working as
Patwari.

❖ Strength :-

▪ Qualified and updated teachers with good academic background.


▪ Co-ordination among faculty members and students.
▪ Large number of reference and text books available in the institutional library.
❖ Weakness :-

▪ Most of the students come from rural background and have many social and economic
barriers in their study.
▪ Insufficient transport facilities for the nearby village’s students, which leads to the
drop outs and short of attendance of the students.
▪ Lack of research activities.

❖ Opportunities :-

▪ Students of political science can pursue several high paying jobs in various sectors
like teacher, journalism, representative of the people, government jobs, editor,
political anchor, and other administrative sectors also.
▪ Graduate of political science can enrol in MA, PhD further.
▪ Students of political science can appear in SSB, CDS, NDA and other exams of
armed forces.
▪ Besides the job opportunities available just after the graduation, student can pursue
higher studies having fellowships and become a researcher in political science.

❖ Challenges :-

▪ To decrease the drop out rate and increase the attendance of students in the classes.
▪ To inculcate the habit of using reference and text books available in the library or
available online.
▪ To make students able to demonstrate the concepts and teach them how to think
instead of what to think.

❖ Future plans :-

▪ To upgrade the department by using latest technologies and advanced teaching-learning


methods.
▪ To organize expert lectures as many as possible to enhance the quality of education.
▪ To organize seminars and workshops in the department and create an environment where
students can interact with the academicians and experts of other institutes.
▪ Motivate the students and develop knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to pursue further
studies in political science.

To create a learning environment and make the students a competent user of political science.
❖ Mission :-

▪ To organize expert lectures, seminars and workshops as many as possible where students

can interact with the academicians of other institutes.

▪ To use advanced teaching methods like slide presentations, discussion session etc.

▪ To organize various competitions like quiz, poster, presentation in the department to

create a competitive environment among the students.

▪ To organize such induction programs in the department where career opportunities,

fellowships to pursue higher education in political science and the achievements of Indian

Politics can be discussed.
