Fire protection valve PPV-K90

Application:
Fire protection valves PPV are used for preventing
the fire from spreading in air conditioning and
ventilating systems. They are installed at crossings
of ventilating ducts through partition walls and
ceilings which divide a building into fire
compartments. When installed in a fire partition
wall, the fire resistance is 90 min, otherwise 60 min
only. It is used for air-in-and outlet. The air flow
quantity can be regulated by a special regulating
system. A thermo link device activates the valve
at 70°C and springs shut the air flow and fire
spread through the ventilating ducts is stopped. The
operation of the thermo release device and of the
fire valve can be controlled by pulling out the
central part of the valve. The fire protection valve

Description:

adjusted. The size of opening is 10 or 20 mm. The
installation frame and the guiding tube are made of
steel profile (painted in white colour). A shut-off
plate is made of special fire resisting material in
white colour. All inner parts are galvanized and
hence non-corrosive.

Installation
The fire protection valve is installed directly in a
wall or ceiling. All positions are possible under
condition that the thickness of a concrete wall is
minimum 100 mm or 120 mm for masonry wall
respectively.

Installation in light partition walls:

The minimum fire resistance of the partition wall
should be 90 min. When installing, you should
follow instructions.
