Brief information about the Republic of Azerbaijan:

K.a: The Republic of Azerbaijan is located on the border of the


European and Asian continents, in the eastern part of the South
Caucasus, on the western coast of the Caspian Sea. The capital city is
Baku. The total length of its borders is 3,472 km, and it shares borders
with five countries: the Republic of Turkey, the Russian Federation,
the Republic of Georgia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the
Republic of Armenia. The population is more than 10 million people.
"The Land of Fire," with its ancient history and rich cultural heritage,
stands out for its beautiful nature. All sectors are developing in our
country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, a worthy
successor to the political course of the Great Leader of the
Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev. Azerbaijan, renowned worldwide
as an oil and gas country, plays a significant role in the development
of the region, asserting itself as the leading state in the South
Caucasus.
Brief information about the city of Ganja and its history:

K.a. Ganja is the second-largest city in Azerbaijan, situated at the


foothills of the Lesser Caucasus, in the Ganja-Kazakh plain, on both
banks of the Ganjachay river. The territory of Ganja city covers 0.125
square kilometers. The city comprises of six settlements and four
administrative territorial districts. The population is 330,300 people.
Located on the ancient "Silk Road," Ganja holds a significant
geopolitical and strategic position.
Archaeological excavations, research, and scientific studies provide
evidence of Ganja's 4,000-year history. Ganja, which has changed its
location at least five times since its establishment, served as a central
city and capital for the states that emerged in this region during
different historical periods, starting from the second half of the 10th
century. The Ganja Khanate, which existed from 1747 to 1804, was
established in the city of Ganja and encompassed the surrounding
areas. Ganja was also the initial capital of the Azerbaijan Democratic
Republic, the first democratic state in the East, which existed from
1918 to 1920.
As the second-largest city in modern Azerbaijan, Ganja holds a
significant position in the scientific, cultural, and economic
development of the republic. Ganja was honored with the title of
"Youth Capital of Europe" in 2016, Capital of Culture of the
Commonwealth of Independent States in 2017, and "Sports City of
Europe" in 2019. Over the years, the city has hosted numerous large-
scale local and international events.
Ganja has a rich history as an ancient center of science and education
in Azerbaijan. It is home to the Ganja branch of ANAS (Azerbaijan
National Academy of Sciences), three higher educational institutions
(Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, Ganja State University,
Azerbaijan University of Technology), and two secondary specialized
educational institutions (Ganja State Regional College under Ganja
State University, Ganja Medical College). The city also boasts 45
secondary schools and 42 preschool educational institutions.
Ganja places special emphasis on the development of sports and the
well-being of its population.
The city takes great pride in its cultural heritage. Notable figures such
as Nizami Ganjavi, a visionary thinker ahead of his time, Mahsati
Ganjavi, a prominent representative of the Muslim renaissance, and
Mirza Shafi Vazeh, an outstanding figure in 18th-19th century
Azerbaijani literature, have all hailed from the land of Ganja.

visitors. Every year, approximately 2,000 tourists from over 30

Ganja stands as one of the country's major industrial cities. In 2022,
the total output capacity of the city reached 1,251,811,000 manats
(equivalent to 750 million dollars). Throughout the year, economic
entities within Ganja's industrial sector contributed to the production
of industrial goods and the provision of services valued at 643.2
million manats (approximately 380 million dollars).

K.a.: In 2022, large and medium-sized industrial enterprises operating


in Ganja achieved exports worth 160 million dollars and imports
worth 210 million dollars.
The import and export activities are conducted with various countries,
including the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the
Republic of Turkey, the Republic of Georgia, and the People's
Republic of China.
During the same year, "Azeraluminium" LLC, specifically, exported
products valued at 351,450 dollars to the People's Republic of China
and imported goods worth 23,640,349 dollars from the same country.

In 2022, "Ganja Wine - 2" OJSC successfully exported products


valued at 11,500 dollars to the People's Republic of China.
On the other hand, "Technosteel-G" LLC, a manufacturer of roofing
and tiles, imported products worth 1,242,000 dollars from the People's
Republic of China. Furthermore, Ganja is currently witnessing the
establishment of numerous new production enterprises. For instance,
the construction of "AzerBlast" LLC, which aims to produce civil
explosives with an annual capacity of 31,000 tons, is underway.
Additionally, the basalt processing plant, "Azerbazalt" LLC, is being
developed. The long-term plan includes exporting the products
manufactured by these factories to countries worldwide.

nearly 30 years, during the Patriotic War that commenced on
September 27, 2020, and lasted for 44 days, marked a significant
