II. Discussion

The lecture taught me how to use BIOTEK in everyday life. The term "BIOTEK" refers to the
science and art of producing things using biological processes and living things. Bio-life,
technology - studies, and lohiya - art. Genetic engineering is the technique of altering an
organism's genetic make-up by technologically inserting or deleting genes. These include
things like cloning, golden rice, and bioluminescent fish. The first mammal to be cloned from
an adult cell is Dolly the sheep. The vector/plasmid DNA and the E are two crucial genetic
engineering symbols. Bacterial Host Cell/E. coli. I acquired the procedures for genetic
engineering. In order to transform or modify a species, you must first isolate the desired gene,
use a vector to introduce it into the host, multiply the host inside the vector, then extract and
purify the gene. I discovered that DNA is always a pair, whereas RNA is always a single
molecule. Restrictional enzymes are those that cut DNA at a certain location within the
sequence. The BT Toxin will be encoded into plants through the crylAc gene. It will perish if a
Fruit Shoot Borer consumes it. As a result, the farmers will use less insecticide.

III. Insights

My perspective on the subject: I don’t find any issues about this topic at all because I think it
will be very helpful in the future. In my opinion, biotechnology is a very challenging topic that
is also enjoyable because it allows students to support agriculture and the environment.
Although genetics is a fascinating topic, I personally wouldn't take this course because I don't
enjoy it too much. This is how I view biotechnology.
