WHAT IS AN
EARTH QUAKE
An earthquake is a vibration or shaking that occurs on
the earth's surface due to the sudden release of energy
from beneath the surface which creates seismic waves.
Earthquakes are usually caused by movements of the
earth's crust or earth's plates. Apart from that,
earthquakes can also be caused by volcanic eruptions
INSIDE THE HOUSE

Vibrations will be felt for a few moments. During that time, you

must ensure the safety of yourself and your family. Get under a

sturdy table to protect your body from falling objects. If you

don't have a desk, protect your head with a pillow.

If you are turning on the stove, turn it off immediately to prevent

a fire
 IN THE OFFICE

Take cover under a table. Protect the

head, neck and eyes. Avoid glass
barriers, windows, cupboards and items
that have not been secured.
