It involves textual analysis of three films, interviews with people from minority and majority backgrounds, a focus group showing film clips and discussing representation, and a questionnaire given to people of various backgrounds gauging perceptions of representation in UK films. The research aims to understand how different ethnic groups feel portrayed and what changes they believe are needed in the film industry.
