Post production log

By Matthew McMillan
Before I start editing I firstly needed to import my footage into Premiere pro as this
is the footage that I will be editing with and this footage will be footage for my final
cut of my podcast.
With this I am using the razor tool to cut out elements in my podcast where there
is no dialogue or if there is an “erm” or a stutter as during the rough cut and final
production I need my podcast to be smooth flowing to ensure it keeps the
audience's attention.
In this screenshot I have edited down my footage that I got to ensure that there
was no silences or mispronounced words as that would make my final edit less
professional and by editing these bits out it will allow my podcast to run smoothly.
In this screenshot I have applied keyframes to my theme tune for my podcast as
this allows me to fade my music in and out appropriate times and makes it sound
more high quality. By doing this it has allowed me to not only fade my music in
and out but it has also allowed me to change the volume of my music so it isn't too
loud.
In this I am changing the audio gain to ensure that when I listen back to my
podcast that the sound levels are the same and by doing this it makes sure that
the podcast sound levels are balanced and not too loud or too quiet for the
listener.
In this screenshot I added my title to my podcast to let the audience know what
they are listening to.
