Poster Post Production Log

By Matthew McMillan
In this screenshot I first started my horror film poster by adding the image and cropping it to
the correct size of the page. This has helped me massively start my poster design as I can
now add the different elements to make it conventional to a horror film poster
In this screenshot I added a red filter around the outside of the image as I think this makes
the poster signify the horror film genre and also it lines up with the trailer as red is used in
some sequences of the film. This is something I struggled grasping as I have not had much
experience with photoshop but it developed my problem solving skills.
In this screenshot, I took the different graphics that I used for my horror film trailer and
applied these to my own horror film poster as this not only makes it conventional to the
audience but it also makes it appealing as the credit block, title, tagline and names of actors
all need to have the same font as the ones on the trailer.
In this screenshot, I added the rest of my graphics that I used for the trailer such as the title,
names of actors and also the tagline as by making these in the same font as the trailer it
makes it more visually appealing for my audience.
In this screenshot I have created the final product of my horror film poster.
