MESSAGE FROM GLYN, MD

Good morning,

So here we are then, heading into the final stretch with the last week before Christmas Day. Let’s finish on a high
but also push on into next week which will also be busy. Whilst doing all of the basics brilliantly, I’d like to
additionally remind you of how important it is to read and use your Christmas distribution support pack. We have
set up some essential ordering reminders on COLIN and on the till, but you need to be using and ticking off the
calendar in the support pack as you go to keep deliveries on track. Please don’t forget this, it is really important.

As this is the last time I will get to speak to you before Christmas, I’d like to offer my best wishes to you and your
families. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I hope you get a chance to relax and enjoy some well-deserved
time with friends and family. I am really proud of all that you do, for all the hard work you put into your stores.

Distribution Support Pack – The Distribution Christmas Support Pack is now available on COLIN. See the Christmas
Distribution Support Pack button on the home page for easy access. It will detail any changes to ordering cut off
times and delivery days between Mon 18th Dec and Wed 3rd Jan. It's important that you read and take note of
any changes in the schedule to make sure you can keep your displays full and abundant, or to avoid receiving
deliveries when you don’t need them. Use the calendar included in the pack to tick off an order once it has been
placed.
January Marketing Box allocations will begin today. Check you have everything you need when it arrives.
Deli Kitchen Top Tips Video – It's our busiest time of year, and a brilliant opportunity to drive sales. We have such
amazing showstopping products in our Deli Kitchen Fridge, and we want to make sure they are showcased in the
best possible way.

The 12 Days of Elfmas is back! We hope your elves are ready, and your creative juices are flowing. Will your store
be taking home an extra pizza night this year? All you need to do is share pictures of your naught elves in store for
a chance to win!
Nero Know How January was posted on COLIN last Friday, in preparation for the early January Launch. There’s a
lot of exciting launches coming in the new year, so make sure you read the information and are ready to go.
Nero Ninety Reporting & Poster – As well as the extra cash you can take home from the incentive, don’t forget we
have a fantastic opportunity for the most improved store from each Area! A legendary team night out could be
yours. See the Area incentive report (part of your Weekly Performance Report) on COLIN to track your
performance. Each Monday, when the individual and area team incentive reports are published on Freddie,
please print each report, highlight your store and area, and place them in the clear pockets of your new poster.
Keeping track is a great way to keep your team motivated.
Change Order Update – Due to the upcoming Christmas and bank holidays, the time to request your change
order to be delivered on Wed 27th Dec is shorter. Please make your request on the system BEFORE Thu 21 st Dec at
8:30am. Please place your order by the end of Thu 28th Dec for the delivery on Wed 3rd Jan.
The Maintenance Helpdesk is closed over the bank holiday weekend. Please use the OOH contact list (available
on COLIN) in the event of an emergency or log the job to Verisae for us to pick up on the next working day.
The Mince Pie Incentive continues, finishing on Sun 24th Dec. The incentive includes both our Classic and Luxury
Mince Pie, and there is £250 towards a team activity is up for grabs. All you need to do is sell the most Mince Pies in
your Area vs the base week! The leaderboard reporting will be available on COLIN from today, Mon 20 th Nov.

Customer Focus – We have many promotions running and it can often appear confusing. To avoid any confusion,
please ensure you check your current Nero Know How each month so you can see the requirements for each
voucher coming in, whether this is through the Nero app or via a partner app. All the information in the December
NKH is correct and will help guide you with any customer queries or concerns raised in store.

Marketing & Promotion Updates

January Campaign Window Poster – Unfortunately there has been an error in the packing of the window posters in the
January Marketing Box so some stores have not received them yet. All the missing posters will be delivered to these stores
by the end of next week.

Counter Fridge Survey – Our Marketing Team are preparing your POS for February and need to know a little information
about your fridges. We need to know which stores have ‘savoury counter fridges’, small savoury fridges that sit along the
counter, often next to a cake fridge. See image to the left. If you have any of these fridges, please let us know by filling in
the Savoury Counter Fridge survey on COLIN. It’s a very quick, one question survey and will help us get the correct POS to
you. Please let us know by Fri 22nd Dec.
