(8) Repeat Step (3) to (7) for configuring the other two (2+0) ML6363_ML6692 8GHz 296
Mbps 1+0 radio connecting to the Horizontal antenna port as follows:

a. Carrier ID: B
b. Polarization: Horizontal
c. Enter Tx frequency: Tx1: 8160.000 (MHz); Tx2: 8190.000 (MHz)
d. Enter Rx frequency: Rx1: 7860.000 (MHz); Rx2: 7890.000 (MHz)

(9) Configuring TDM: Use the Radio Link option, Configure Radio Link Terminal,

a. Refer to the Equipment Engineering work order for the DS1 requirement.
b. Under General, select the Connect TDM check-box, and set the number of wanted
DS1s in the Select D1 drop-down list.
c. Enable sufficient # of DS1s to support the new or TDM traffic. Allocate the
remaining capacity to Ethernet traffic

(10) Configuring XPIC: Use the Radio Link option, Configure, click XPIC,

a. Ensure the RLT Mode is set to 2+2 Radio Link Protection;

b. In the Configure XPIC page, Enable XPIC check boxes under both XPIC Pair 1

(11) Configuring Hierarchical Radio Link Bonding (hRLB)

Refer to the MOP “M-T-104: Ericsson Mini-Link 6600 Series setup” on the
Hierarchical Radio Link Bonding Groups tab:

(i) Create a 2X (2+2)hRLB group from two RLTs (2+2 RLB EQP)
(ii) Add member interfaces to the hRLB group

(12) Configuring Equipment Protection Switching

Refer to the MOP “M-T-104: Ericsson Mini-Link 6600 Series setup”

(i) Set the EQP switching mechanism mode to: Auto

(ii) Set MMU units that are connected to the Main antenna to be active in the EQP
configuration.

(13) Refer to Bulletin M-T-104 Ericsson Mini-Link 6600 Series and Bulletin T-T-064
Microwave Radio Testing, complete successfully all the required Acceptance tests for
the newly installed ML6363_ML6692 8GHz - 296 Mbps (4+4) SD XPIC radio system
between C0368 CHALK RIVER and C0414 PEMBROKER. Repeat any necessary
acceptance tests in the ML6363_ML6692 8GHz- 296 Mbps (4+4) SD XPIC system
should the test results fail.

(14) After commissioning the complete ML6363_ML6692 8GHz -4 x 296 Mbps (4+4)
system for normal operation, put the system into service.

(15) After successful traffic cut over to the new ML6363_ML6692 8GHz – 4 x 296 Mbps
(4+4) XPIC hop, decommission and remove existing (1+1) SDIV RAU2X 8GHz ODU,
remove existing ANT01.87/8HX antenna, flex twist waveguides, LDF2-50 cables,
indoor AMM6P chassis and its ancillary equipment, and return them to warehouse for
future purposes.

(16) Forward all testing and commissioning results to Transmission Engineering.
