Professional Dialogue

structured and purposeful opportunities to build confidence, consolidate knowledge and develop
academic performance (Ody and Carey, 2013).

Aligned to pedagogical generosity by making space for the expertise of others (Stommel, 2021)
Academic Pairing: Peer Observation

an opportunity for creative thinking about developing your educational practice (UCL, 2023)
a formative process where two peers work together to observe one another’s teaching or
academic practice (CUG, 2023)

The key aim of engaging in peer observation is:

1. Enhancing teaching by learning from one another

2. Allowing for critical reflection on one’s own teaching

3. Enhancing the students’ learning experience


7006CRB Task 1

§ Populate the Module Delivery Plan and obtain feedback from an allocated peer

§ Upload the completed Peer Observation Form to your 7006CRB Portfolio

getting on, in HE is a recognised issue across the sector
