RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN THE DEED OF
DONATION OF 5,000 SQUARE-METER LOT TO THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE
REGION XII FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SOUTH COTABTO 1 ST PROVINCIAL
MOBILE FORCE COMPANY (SC 1ST PMFC) HEADQUARTERS AT PUROK BAGONG SILANG,
BARANGAY STA. CRUZ

WHEREAS, under consideration by the august Body is the letter dated July 20, 2023 from
the City Mayor requesting for a legislative authority to enter into and sign the Deed of Donation of
a 5,000 square-meter lot to the Philippine National Police Region XII for the establishment of the
headquarters of the South Cotabato 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (SC 1st PMFC) at Purok
Bagong Silang, Barangay Sta. Cruz;

WHEREAS, the City Government allotted 5,000 square meters parcel of land to the South
Cotabato 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (SC 1st PMFC) for their headquarters to be
established at the Koronadal Ecopark, formerly Dumpsite, beside Koronadal City Bureau of Jail
Management and Penology at Purok Bagong Silang, Brgy. Sta. Cruz;

WHEREAS, a DOD is needed to govern the rights and obligations of both parties;

WHEREAS, the DOD is to be entered by and between the City Government of Koronadal
as the donor and the PNP Region XII, represented by its Region Director, PBGen. Jimili L.
Maracaeg as the donee;

WHEREAS, the draft DOD with Conditions submitted to this august Body shall form an
integral part of this Resolution;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 455 (b) (1) (vi) of the Local Government Code of 1991, the
city mayor may enter into a Deed of Donation upon authority of the Sanggunian;

WHEREAS, the presence of this facility in the city will carry out effectively and efficiently
the conduct of internal security and counter-terrorism operations, respond to crisis situation
extending beyond the capabilities of the police stations and conduct rescue and relief operations;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. John Rey P. Rodriguez, duly seconded

RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED, to grant legislative authority to city mayor to enter

into and sign a Deed of Donation of 5,000 square-meter lot to the Philippine National Police
Region XII for the establishment of the South Cotabato 1 st Provincial Mobile Force Company (SC
1st PMFC) Headquarters at Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Sta. Cruz.
