Playing with numbers

Introduction:

"Playing with Numbers" is a branch of mathematics that involves various interesting and
fun mathematical games and puzzles.
It encourages students to explore number patterns, divisibility rules, and relationships
between numbers.
Number Patterns:

Number patterns are sequences of numbers that follow a certain rule or pattern.
An example of a simple pattern is counting by twos: 2, 4, 6, 8, ...
Patterns can be used to predict future numbers in the sequence.
Divisibility Rules:

Divisibility rules are guidelines to determine whether a number can be evenly divided by
another number without leaving a remainder.
Some common divisibility rules include:
A number is divisible by 2 if it's even (ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8).
A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 3.
A number is divisible by 5 if it ends in 0 or 5.
A number is divisible by 10 if it ends in 0.
A number is divisible by 9 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 9.
These rules help in simplifying calculations and finding factors and multiples.

Types of Numbers:

Even number:
A number which is exactly divisible by 2 is called even numbers.
Examples: 0,12,34,74,56 etc

Odd number:
A number which is not exactly divisible by 2 is called odd number.
Examples:1,13,15,27 etc`
Prime Numbers:

A prime number is a positive integer greater than 1 that has no positive divisors other
than 1 and itself.
Examples of prime numbers include 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, and 13.
Composite Numbers: A composite number is a positive integer greater than 1 that has
divisors other than 1 and itself.
Examples of composite numbers include 4, 6, 8, 9, and 10.

Factors and Multiples:

Factors of a number are the numbers that can divide it without leaving a remainder.
For example, the factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 12.
Multiples of a number are obtained by multiplying it by whole numbers.
For example, the multiples of 3 are 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, and so on.

Common Multiples and Least Common Multiple (LCM):

Common multiples are multiples shared by two or more numbers.

For example, the common multiples of 3 and 4 are 12, 24, 36, and so on.
The least common multiple (LCM) is the smallest common multiple of two or more
numbers.
For example, the LCM of 3 and 4 is 12.
HCF (Highest Common Factor) or GCD (Greatest Common Divisor):

HCF is the largest number that can exactly divide two or more numbers.
For example, the HCF of 12 and 18 is 6.
HCF helps in simplifying fractions and finding common factors.

Prime Factorization
The method of representing number as a product of its factors
is called prime factorization.
For example: 36 can be written as 2×2×3×3, 2 and 3 are prime numbers.
