I. Project Title: “Hayop na Gala, Gawin Nating Alaga: A Community-based Stray


Animals Management Plan”

II. Description:
In coordination with an animal shelter near the target area, the student
organizers/volunteers will help rescue, feed, groom, and cure stray animals. This activity
aims to provide stray animals with a safer, healthier, happier, and more comfortable
environment.

III. Objectives:
1. To improve the overall well-being of stray animals and contribute to their
rehabilitation.
2. To engage student organizers/volunteers in meaningful community service by
addressing the issue of stray animals.
3. To raise awareness among the community about the importance of animal
welfare and responsible pet ownership.
4. To improve the living conditions of stray animals, ensuring their safety, health,
and overall quality of life.

V. Subject/s: Any stray cats or dogs in streets within the vicinity of the selected
area of implementation.

IX. Risk Assessment:


1. Lack of familiarity to the place of implementation.
2. Stray animals such as dogs and cats can carry diseases like rabies,
leptospirosis, and plague. These diseases can pose a serious health risk to the
project team and the local community.
3. Stray animals can disrupt project activities by barking, meowing, or chasing
workers around the site.
4. If a stray animal causes injury or damage to a third party, the project team may
be held legally liable for the incident.
