 To impart the knowledge on the behaviour of individual, group and the
overall organisation in different aspects.
 To emphasis the value of group activities and decision making.
 To know and develop leadership quality of an individual.

Organisational Behaviour: Definition, Meaning-Nature-Role of OB in effective management-
Disciplines of OB- Models of OB.

Unit II:(18 hrs)

Individual Behaviour: Attitude- Nature-Formation of attitude-attitude measurement.
Perception:Definition, meaning, Factors affecting perception. Personality-Determinants-
Theories- Personality and Behaviour.

Unit III:(18 hrs)

Motivation: Definition-Importance-Theories- Factors improving motivation. Morale-
Definition- Characteristics-Symptoms of low morale- Factors improving morale-Measurement of
morale.

Unit IV(18 hrs)

Group Dynamics: Definition-Stages-Types- Group cohesiveness- Sources- Group decision
making- Techniques. Communication- Process-Types-Barriers. Conflict- Meaning- Sources-
Types- - Conflict management.

Unit V(18 hrs)

Leadership: Meaning- Functions-Styles-Theories- Managerial grid-Characteristics. Power and
Politics- Power meaning- Types- Sources. Politics-Meaning –Reason for organizational politics-
Managing organizational politics.
