ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON THE SYMPOSIUM


ABOUT ADOLESCENT SEXUALITY AND REPRODUCTIVE
HEALTH, CHILDREN IN EMERGENCIES, AND CHILD
PROTECTION POLICY AND CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION
PROGRAM
A program called “National Comprehensive and Coordinated Program on Youth
Development” under the Republic Act No. 8044, also known as the Youth in Nation-Building
Act, is based on the promotion and protection of the physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and
social well-being of the youth. When these attributes are in its peak, it can potentially improve
and elevate the lives of the youth. Similarly, the symposium that was conducted at Dumalneg
National High School serves as the channel where the mere words in the Act was put into
tangible actions through raising awareness about adolescent sexuality and reproductive health,
sharing knowledge about children in emergencies, and promoting child protection policy and
child abuse prevention program.

Throughout the program, the implementers observed that participants, specifically the
Dumalneg National High School students, showed a high level of enthusiasm. They actively
participated and absorbed every bit of lessons from the symposium, and interacted with the
speakers. This signifies their insatiable hunger for knowledge, and the ardent quality of the
students. After the implementation of program, the implementers crafted a google form to
evaluate the overall experience of the participants.

As presented above, it is evident that the symposium demonstrates a very satisfactory
rating, attaining an impressive overall mean score of 2.89. Notably, certain indicators received
outstanding and satisfactory remarks. This implies that students comprehended the program’s
essence successfully, enhancing their knowledge and overall development. Moreover, it equips
them to share their acquired knowledge with others, fostering a cycle of mutual learning. The
participants expressed high appreciation for this program, demonstrating their eagerness to attend
a similar one in the future. Thus, this program stands as a valuable guide for further
understanding and improvement in the future.
