ABSTRACT

Smart pen is made to make work easier for students, teachers

and the general public who are keen on note taking and safe
storage. The technology uses a smart pen and mobile phone for
data collection .The pen comprises a Bluetooth transceiver,
camera, battery, memory, a processor and ink cartridge. Each
pen has a unique ID and paired to a mobile phone that has
Bluetooth and is GPS enabled. The pen captures the data being
entered into the paper by sensing movement .Once you press
down on a special type of paper to write, the pens components
are activated. The pen stores what has been written on paper
as the person writes .The same information can be send to
other devices that are Bluetooth enabled for storage or
reference. This makes storage of information more effective as
records are stored in the memory cards.
The method of storage is not expensive and saves a lot of time
and labour as the written information does not have to be
typed in the computer, instead the memory card is inserted in
the computer via the card reader and the information can be
easily printed.
