Thoughts on World

War 1
A Reflection
By: Alberts
Things to note about David Lloyd George
● He wants Germany to be punished but he also wants
Germany to remain strong.
● Does not want European countries to look weak.
● Does not want another war
● Find what Germany has and take away little. (solution)

He thinks communism is bad.

If Germany is too weak then communism would spread from Russia to the whole of
Europe.
He also wants to set up countries that will work together in future wars.
Britain has a large empire and navy.
He thinks the German empire should be broken up as it could be a threat to his own.
Now,
we need to figure out how damage from the war
could be fixed.
Treaty
Germany then made a peace treaty with the Allied forces, which resulted in
Germans losing lands and taking the blame for the war starting.

with Austria) was
forbidden
Loss of the Germans
Germany had to reduce military size,
● 10% of its land
● 16% of its coal only having 100,000 soldiers
● 12.5% of its population conscription was banned which means
● 48% iron industry everyone at age 18 joins the military.
No armored vehicles, 6 battleships only.

All this damage can be repaired by providing France with a large

sum of cash to help rebuild their infrastructure. This cash will
also assist in starting stable economies and markets in Europe
which will provide trade among Europe and other countries and
overtime will ward off the spread of communism.
