A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY TREASURER MS. DELIA C. VILBAR, CPA, CITY TREASURER’S
OFFICE TO DEPUTIZE THE BARANGAY TREASURER, VIRGINIA B. MONDONEDO OF BARANGAY
DANAO, ORMOC CITY IN THE COLLECTION OF COMMUNITY TAX CERTIFICATE AND OTHER FEES.

WHEREAS, one of the duties and responsibilities of the barangay treasurer is to collect and issue official receipt for taxes,
fees, contributions, monies, and all other resources to the barangay treasury and deposit the same in the account of the
barangay;

WHEREAS, Section 170 of the Local Government Code of 1991 provides that the City Treasurer may designate the
barangay treasurer as his deputy to collect taxes, fees, or charges and other other collections;

WHEREAS, Section 164 (b) of LGU states that the City Treasurer shall deputize the Barangay Treasurer to collect the
Community Tax in their respective jurisdictions, provided, however, the said barangay treasurer shall be bonded with the
existing laws;

WHEREAS, it is also provided in section 164 that the proceeds of the community tax collected through the barangay
treasurer’s fifty (50%) of it shall accrue to the barangay where the tax is collected;

NOW THERFORE, on motion of Sangguniang Barangay Member Bartolome O. Mistola, duly seconded by Sangguniang
Barangay Member Pennyboy Francisco L. Ablen Jr.; be it

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to pass a RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY TREASURER

MS. DELIA C. VILBAR, CPA, CITY TREASURER’S OFFICE TO DEPUTIZE THE BARANGAY TREASURER,
VIRGINIA B. MONDONEDO OF BARANGAY DANAO, ORMOC CITY IN THE COLLECTION OF
COMMUNITY TAX CERTIFICATE AND OTHER FEES.

RESOLVED FURTHER to furnish copy of this resolution to the City Treasurer, City Accountant office, COA, Liga ng mga
Barangay, PAIAD, DILG and all offices concerned.
