b) Gap/ novelty/ the significance of the research [Maximum 50 words]

The study focuses on improving students' speaking skills using English movies, which fills a
big gap in language instruction. This strategy incorporates popular media into the learning
process, engaging students in a more dynamic and practical manner. The relevance stems from
its ability to make language acquisition more fun, realistic, and culturally relevant, cultivating
good communication skills in a real-world environment.

The significance of the research

The significance of this research extends beyond conventional language teaching methods
by leveraging the appeal and accessibility of English movies to enrich students' speaking
skills. In doing so, it addresses a critical gap in current educational approaches, where the
emphasis on rote learning often sidelines practical language application. With integrating
cinematic content into language education, the research strives to create an immersive and
enjoyable learning experience. This innovative approach recognizes the transformative
power of visual and auditory stimuli in language acquisition, catering to diverse learning
styles. Moreover, the use of English movies provides an authentic context for language
usage, exposing students to colloquial expressions, accents, and cultural nuances.
