(Sports Guidelines)
I. Guidelines
1. Players
1.1. Participants must present a valid Mapua ID or ECM for identification before the
game; failure to do so prohibits participation, even for registered players.
1.2. Accessories must be removed during the game except for sports accessories.
1.3. Players are required to wear their respective jerseys, excluding those in Mixed
Badminton, Billiards, Chess, and Table Tennis.
1.4. No borrowing of jerseys.
1.5. The player must wear appropriate sports shoes.
1.6. If the player forgets their jersey, the player is not allowed to play.

1.7. Only two (2) alumni/faculty will be accepted to the list of players *Applicable only
for Basketball and Volleyball Only*.
1.8. Alumni/Faculty can only join one (1) sport.
1.9. Only one (1) alumni/faculty can play inside the court.
1.10. A varsity/player who participates in any league that represents the name of the
MAPÚA UNIVERSITY is not allowed to play in their specific sport. But instead,
they can join in a different sport.
1.11. The player can only register in one (1) sport.
1.12. No player can play in another department (Strictly no import).
1.13. Only the registered players can play.
1.14. If a team/player does not show up during their game time and the opponent is
present, the opponent will win.
1.15. If a player is 10 minutes late after the warm-up time, and the opponent is
complete/present, the opponent wins.
1.16. If both teams/players are not present during the time of their game, there will be
no exemptions to adjust their game. The winner will be based on a coin toss.
1.17. The team captain/player can take a photo of the scoresheet after the game for their
copy.

1.18. Local councils can join the DTC.


1.19. The CSC and COO officers, and the CSC, COP, and COO committees can join the
DTC. The COP officers can only join the sport (Basketball Men’s, Basketball
Women’s, and Mixed Volleyball)
1.20. The player of the game will be based on their match statistics, which will be posted
on the COP page.

1.21. The season MVP will be based during the elimination games. The final MVP will
be based on the two (2) teams remaining for the finals bracket (APPLICABLE FOR
BASKETBALL MEN’S, BASKETBALL WOMEN’S, MIXED VOLLEYBALL, CALL
OF DUTY MOBILE, MOBILE LEGENDS, AND VALORANT).
1.22. If the team/player violates the rules, the team/player can no longer continue the
game. For team sports, you can substitute another player, but for the other sports such
as mixed badminton, chess, billiards, and table tennis, you can no longer continue the
game and the opponent will be considered as the winner of the game.
1.23. A player with medical conditions is not allowed to play.
1.24. Basketball Men’s, Basketball Women’s, Mixed Volleyball, Table Tennis, Call of
Duty Mobile, Mobile Legends, and Valorant must have their coach. If there is no
coach, team captains for the team sports and players for the individual sports will
only be the one who will call a substitution and talk to the officials for their concerns.
If the team/player has no coach and the team captain is absent, one representative
form the team and the player itself for the individual sports is the only one who can
call for timeout, call a substitution, and talk to the officials. While the players can
raise their concern to their team captains, coach, team representative, and the referee.
1.25. The players jersey number for basketball men’s, basketball women’s, and mixed
volleyball is from 1 to the last number of the players (Ex. If the roster for the
basketball did not reach the maximum number of players which is 15 players, the
jersey number must be from 1 to 10 only). For mixed badminton, any number would
do and for the E-sports, no jersey number should be seen.

● The team captain for the team sports and the player for the individual sports must converse
and comply with the SSC presidents or DTC Local Head with their complete registration
payment, including the (MAPÚA ID, 1x1 digital picture, 2nd Qtr. SY 2023-2024 ECM, the
screenshot of your proof of payment, the government’s ID for your coach *If there is any, and
the contract) which the SSC presidents will be giving to the COP SDO and treasurer once the
payment and details are complete
● By registering, Teams acknowledge that all usage of photos, videos, and any form of
recording during the tournament have been given legal consent by the players for media and
marketing purposes
● Cancellation of the team/player in a specific sport during the registration must pay 70% of the
amount of the specific sport for their back-out fee
● The act of registering for this tournament implies full acceptance of all terms, conditions,
rules, and regulations stated, in its entirety
● When the registration period is done, there will be NO REFUNDS
● If the player is not on the list of registration and does not comply with the details needed, then
the player cannot play the game
VI. Valorant
6.1 Location
● Mapúa University, Makati (Lobby)
6.2 Category
● Custom Game
6.3 Type
● Double Elimination
6.4 Reminders
● 12 rounds - 1 set
● 1 hour game time
● 5 min warm up time for both teams
● Any rank is allowed to play
● Any agent to pick during the agent selection would do
● The team must have at least 5 to 6 players
● Trash Talking is not allowed and will be automatically removed from the game. *If the team
has no spare player, the team will no longer play/continue the tournament (The opponent will
be considered as the winner of the game)
● If both teams have the same score (12-12), they need to go for a tiebreaker for an additional 2
rounds until they come up with a higher score of 2
● No timeout
● Strictly no cheat engines
● Communication channels are provided below by the COP officers

● Players must bring their own earphones/headphones
● Players are allowed to bring their own personal keyboard and mouse, but if it requires a drive
during the warm up time, the player may not use their personal keyboards and mouse. Instead,
keyboard and mouse from the open lab will be provided and be used by the player.
● The player of the game will be based on who is the match MVP
● The overall MVP will be based on the two teams remaining for the finals bracket
(APPLICABLE FOR FINALS ONLY)
6.5 Game
● There will be a toss coin for the team to pick whether they are attacker or defender
● There will be a toss coin for the team to pick what map they want to play
● The player would pick the agent that they want
● The player can buy any gun in any round
● The attackers must plant the spike
*Numbers of spectators allowed: 0
NOTE: no spectators are allowed except for tournament admin, if necessary (the tournament
organizer reserves the right to make changes to the required game or player settings at any time at
their sole discretion before the start of any tournament game).
6.6 Substitutions
PRE-EVENT SUBTITUTIONS
- Teams that need to make a substitution may do so at tournament check-in with proof that the
substituted player will not be able to participate. The determination of whether such proof is
sufficient shall be determined by the heads.
MID SUBSTITUTIONS
- Teams that lose a player under extenuating circumstances such as a medical emergency, may
substitute their extra player. Substitutions are permanent for the remainder of the competition.
A substituted player may not rejoin their team. If a team qualifies for prizing, it's the
responsibility of the team to decide the distribution of said prizing to its players, including the
substitute.
