directions. It is used in the sentence structure like "clause 1 +

Basic meaning of to-conditional is that the clause 1 marked by to results in an
uncontrollable event or state which is stated in Clause 2. In the case of talking
about directions, to conditional means that as the result of doing something as
stated in the to conditional clause, you would find out something or arrive
somewhere.
