WXO Circulating Sleeve

The Weatherford WXO circulating Sleeve is a downhole flow control device
installed in the production string to provide communication between the tubing
and casing annulus. It is opened by shifting an inner sleeve down and closed
by shifting the inner sleeve up by standard wireline methods. The WXO
circulating sleeve has a nipple profile as well as a packing bore above and
below the communication ports. The communication ports can be closed
without leaving any obstruction in the tubing once the shifting operation is
completed. All Premium threads are available on request. Other profiles not
included in the charts may be available on special order.

The Model B Shifting Tool is used to open (jarring down) or close (jarring up)
the WXO Circulating Sleeve.

ASSEMBLY 2-3/8” & 2-7/8”

1. Place bottom sub (9) in vise.

2. Install o-ring (3) on bottom sub (9).
3. Install female adapter (4) two packing rings (5), o-ring (6), three packing
rings (5) and female adapter (4) into lower end of middle housing (8) as
shown in diagram. 1
4. Install female adapter (4), o-ring (6) and female adapter (4) into upper end
of middle housing (8) as shown.
5. Install split ring (7) in upper end of middle housing (8).
6. Install female adapter (4), two packing rings (5), o-ring (6), three packing
rings (5) and female adapter (4) in middle housing (8) as shown.
7. Install middle housing (8) onto bottom sub (9).
8. Install closing sleeve (2) in middle housing (8).
9. Install o-ring (3) on top sub (1).
10. Install top sub (1) in middle housing (8).

DISASSEMBLY
1. Place bottom sub (9) in vise.
2. Remove top sub (1) from middle housing (8).

4. Remove middle housing (8) from bottom sub (9). 5

5. Remove closing sleeve (2) from middle housing (8). 7
6. Remove female adapters (4), packing (5), o-rings (6) and split ring (7) from upper 4

7. Remove o-ring (3) from bottom sub (9)
8. Clean and inspect all parts. 4
9. Replace any worn or damaged parts. 5

2. Install o-ring (3) on bottom sub (11).
3. Install female adapter (4) two packing rings (5), o-ring (6), three packing
rings (5) and female adapter (4) into lower end of middle housing (10) as
shown in diagram. 1
4. Install female adapter (8), o-ring (9) and female adapter (8) into upper end
of middle housing (10) as shown.
5. Install split ring (7) in upper end of middle housing (10).
6. Install female adapter (4), two packing rings (5), o-ring (6), three packing
rings (5) and female adapter (4) in middle housing (10) as shown.
7. Install middle housing (10) onto bottom sub (11).
8. Install closing sleeve (2) in middle housing (10).
9. Install o-ring (3) on top sub (1).
10. Install top sub (1) in middle housing (10).
